I bought these last year the 4x6 size to save my fruit from the squirrels and chipmunks who were stealing my fruit pears, peaches and apples. I easily placed them over my remaining pears, pulled the string closed and tied it loosely around the branch. It saved all my remaining pears, which grew nicely. These are made of a strong plastic/nylon material which is better than the gauze cloth like material that the critters chew through or steal for nests. By the time my pears were ready to pick the bag was pretty tight around them. I am back to buy the larger size. Also I didn’t think of using them in my grapes until I read some reviews so I will do that this year.

Very simple to close and open. Perfect size for covering my mangoes.

Not efficient to protect the pears or my squirrels are pirates! Young pears are too fragile and often fell down when I installed a bag over. I had to wait until they were relatively big for that and by then most were already damaged by birds and squirrels. When raining hard last week several more fell down so I am left with 1/2 dozen still in place. Overall it doesn’t work for me and my pirate squirrels...But I am now using them for the fig tree and there it looks like they do a much better job. We shall see...

Some critters (birds?) have stripped most of our ripened grapes off the vine before we were ready to harvest them so we ordered these mesh bags which arrived the very next day (thank you Amazon) and we placed them on the clusters of unripened grapes immediately. So far, no more grapes have disappeared, although I was scolded by a Stellers Jay while putting the bags on the remaining grape clusters, so I think I know who the suspect is.The mesh bags were easy to install, but the ties need to be tied. I failed to tie them securely the first day and one fell off or was plucked off, so now I’ve tied them securely and they are staying in place.

Three stars for protecting tomatoes from squirrels - they may be better for other purposes. The string and tie method is very good - holds well when pulled to close the bag, easy to tie, and the string holds a bow knot well. These are light and flexible, easy to maneuver, an the string is much more grippy than the red slippery tie string on those heavier silver mesh bags. That said - these do not seem to deter squirrels at all - the squirrels detect the tomatoes in the bags and bite through the bags. They will pull a whole tomato and bag off the plant. The squirrels don't seem to do that at all with the heavier silver bags, which are stronger, less transparent and perhaps confuse the squirrels more.These would be good for insect protection and possibly birds. Will test them next on blackberries.

Squirrels eating my fruit, thought to try these. Easy to apply. Having drawstrings on both sides great feature. They seem to be a little small- I would order larger ones if there is any doubt about size required. Also, you proba ly need more than you think! Hopefully these do the job

Does not work against squirrels. They knock the bag down and eat right through it. Waste of money.

Hoping these protect my grapes from squirrels and birds! These are easy to put on and remove. The bags are a little small, but so are my grape clusters. Not sure whether or not they'd fit larger grape clusters.
