I bought this to get some privacy in my mudroom, it absolutely does the job. I gave it 4 stars because if you have to cover a large window, they will not align perfectly to continue the pattern. The seams inbetween are very noticable as well.

This product was a great solution for an oddly shaped and recessed window in a finished basement that was too small for a shade, blinds or curtains. We wanted to let in natural light but also wanted to have some privacy. This wasn’t something that seemed possible until stumbling onto this product. It was the perfect solution.Quick easy install using scissors, ruler, credit card and razor knife.Here’s how I installed mine:1. Cleaned the glass with window cleaner to make sure the surface was clean and smooth with no dirt or debris.2. Prepared the “soapy” water as per instructions. This was literally one drop of dish soap in about 1 cup of tap water.3. Unrolled the film and held it up to the window and used a marker to mark about 1” out from the glass on all sides. Making sure there was plenty of margin for error or to adjust the pattern.4. I used my fingertips to moisten the entire surface of the glass with the soapy water. Not too much, just enough for it to be slippery with no dripping or water running down.5. Peeled the backing from the film and placed it on the glass. The water made it easy to slide the film around until I got the pattern in the position I wanted. I then used a credit card to smooth the film and push air bubbles and excess water out from under the film.6. Lined the ruler up against the edge of the glass and used the razor knife to trim away the excess film.When I first purchased the product I was worried about installation, if it would be hard to do or would it stay up, etc. I also worried that it might look cheap or tacky. However, I was pleasantly surprised on both accounts as it was easy to install, no issues with it staying in place and I think it looks gorgeous. I could definitely see a lot of other uses for the product where you want to let in light but also have privacy.

My bedroom windows face out into the front yard, so I put these on the lower half for some added privacy. They are difficult to apply and sometimes it's hard to line up the pattern so that it looks seamless, but once you get them up, they're great. I've used these same ones once before and I never had any problems with them coming down or peeling. But they are very easy to remove when you are ready for them to come down. They look really nice and still let in a lot of light while effectively obscuring the glass.

Oh how I love this privacy it is so beautiful it lets the light in and keep you keep your privacy.at the same time. It does not look like plastic at all it look like glass. I used it on my front door I have 1/2 moon and every tall person always looking in the door.
