Nissan LEAF EV Charger: 15' cable, 32A, 7.7kW, UL-Listed

I have not used it more than 2 times. It is easy to hook up to the Leaf . The holder for the cable is rather light weight and is OK for inside the garage but it was bricks that it would be fastened to,in my case and it was not easy to have it mounted so I carefully wind the cable over EV charger which works fine as the solution for my out door installation. I expect it to be trouble free and will continue to be easy to use. Thank you

Could not be installed in New Zealand, did not know until a qualified electrician told me that it did not have NZ certification' and therefore could not install it here.

So far it is excellent. Had it for a month so far and is easy to use. Will see how it holds up during the winter. But highly recommend it.

A nicely packaged unit, worked perfectly out of the box. Could use a better chord management system (other than a peg on the wall that you hang the cord from - rather unsightly), and there should be a master "power off" switch so the blasted status LED are not burning all the time and attracting peoples attention from the street. Unit install was OK, but the front cover has rather short lead lengths you have to be careful of when bringing in the larger power feed wires. I am happy with the function of this unit.Helpful addition would be a resettable digital watt-hour meter, so you could monitor and record the energy used for each recharge cycle. Helpful for tracking costs and monitoring your batteries health via the amount of energy used to recharge verse what milage out the battery supplies.

Nissan Leaf 2019 has type 2 home charging connection and as this unit has type 1 it clearly does not fit.And as this unit it 240 volt it was not intended for use in the USA...I can say that I am a bit disappointed in discovering that it does not state anywhere whether this is type 1 or type 2 as it is labeled for Nissan Leaf.It needs for all of these charging stations to clearly state what type of connector fits your type of car.Image shows RH side type 2 connection on the 2019 Nissan Leaf, LH side is the chademo fast charging.
