Long and detailed review focused on car installation and fit
Great looking car seat. Installation is fairly easy for rear facing with or without the rebound bar. Because I am not the strongest person I do need to use my knee to do pressure and be able to install the sit really thigh so it doesn't moves. I said is fairly easy because I am not able to install rear facing the blue 'Safety First' car seat is in my pictures, no matter how much effort I put, the sit is never thigh enough and always moves side to side. But compared to a Chicco Next Fit I had in the past, that installation was effortless, this Gracco sit does require some work to install properly and safely. The rebound bar and extension for the legs is a great addition for safety and comfort. But there's a little issue, in order to be able to use the 5" extension panel for the legs, you need to have a pretty big car, and if not, the front sit passenger will not be able to be used. When the car seat is installed rear facing, the sit cannot touch the front seat (look a the manual or look online if you doubt about this). I installed the sit in my Toyota Highlander 2015 and with the 5" panel extension my front sit is very close to the dash of the car. I'm only 5 feet tall, not too big, so I can sit there, but a bigger person will not fit. I tried to install the sit in a Toyota Corolla 2020, rear facing with the extension panel and it just doesn't fit no matter how much I moved the sit close to the dash. So keep that in mind while considering this seat.Another thing I loved about this sit is the fit. It's truly a sit that will be able to be used for the whole time a kid needs a car seat. The fit for newborns is excellent (pictured 19" babe) it reclines all the way keeping a baby with no body coordination well positioned and the head doesn't move to the sides or hangs. For older kids, the sit is wide and very tall, tallest that my Safety First brand sit. I have a 7 year old who is barely fitting in the Safety First seat using the 5 point harness. The belts are a bit bellow her shoulder when they are supposed to be above her shoulders as per the manual recommends (look online about this too, when the child is forward facing the belts needs to be above the shoulder, and when baby is rear facing the belts needs to be bellow the shoulder). So with this sit you will be able to safely use the harness with older kids. My kid is 50, pounds and still has some space to grow and keep using the 5 point harness in this Gracco Sit, but is not able to safely use the harness on the Safety First sit she has, although she hasn't meet the weight limit of that sit.I take very seriously the safety of my children and has used several car seat through the years. This car seat convinced me and I can say that is a good one for this price point. As a closure notes; I don't think you will be able to fit 3 car seats using this one, is very wide. The harness is a little thigh to pull when the car seat is in the smallest setting. The cup holders detach way too easy and falls a lot, is kind of annoying. It has a compartment to storage the harness when the sit is used as tall back booster what I find super convenient instead of needing to remove the harness. This sit definitely is designed for easy use/transition for different developmental stages of children, just pull the recliner button, pull the head reast up or down, and very easy to use for a newborn, a toddler or a 7 year old.

Allows for rear facing for longer
This car seat is really versatile and has three modes, so it can be used from birth, up through 50 pounds. It was pretty simple to set up, and the instruction manual is very clear. I did watch some installation videos as well just to make sure I did everything correctly. I installed this rear facing for my four year old son using the latches in my car. It is very easy to change the headrest and strap height as, well as the recline. There is a clear indicator for the recline so you can make sure it is set properly. There are two cup holders that fit pretty much all of my son's cups. My favorite feature on this car seat is the foot extender, which has a few different levels, and it allows your child to have more leg room while rear facing, so that they can stay rear facing longer since it is considered safer than forward facing. With the extender, my four year old is still able to comfortably rear face. It does push the car seat further out onto the seat of your car, so you do have to make sure it isn't hanging over the edge too much. Once you switch to forward facing, and your child reaches the height requirement, the car seat can be used with a regular seat belt as opposed to the harness and it functions more like a highback booster. A new feature on this particular model is the anti-rebound bar, which is an added safety measure that I am noticing on more and more car seats recently. My only complaint with this seat is that it's pretty bulky and heavy, so it doesn't make for the best travel seat, but it feels very sturdy. Overall, this seat is safe, comfortable, easy to install and allows your child to rear face for longer.

Installation was simple
I ordered this car seat for our second car so we wouldn’t have to keep transferring the car seat. I ordered the all black one but received the black one with pink trimming. My son is 30lbs so luckily I don’t need the inserts. The car seat itself has a little weight to it. However, it was easy enough for me to handle and install. I read the manual and found the instructions easy enough. I chose to use the car seat forward facing but have used it rear facing as well. My son seems comfortable either way. The furthest we’ve tracked using the car seat was about a 2 1/2 hour drive. My son was down the whole ride. One of my favorite features is the extended leg tray. I do like that it seems to be better for his little knees.Overall this is a really nice car seat with some cool features and versatile use. Decent price in comparison to other car seats I’ve seen.

Great car safety seat... plus TIPS. Rebound bar is an interesting feature
We may be biased, but our number one brand we trust is Britax. For newborns, we like Britax and Maxi-Cosi, and even though both come with their heavy price tags, we are the types of parents who feel that when babies are at their most vulnerable state (infants), they deserve the best protection one can afford. As our son became a toddler, we had purchased a Graco seat that would allow him to grow with it -- from rear-facing, front-facing, and eventually to booster. We liked it, though it was not as premium-looking or as thoughtfully designed as the Britax. We were then able to give the Graco Grows4Me and Graco 4Ever DLX Platinum (costs $100 more) seats a try, and while reading the manuals, we were surprised (and delighted) how thoughtful and thorough both were written. Then I took a look at the Graco Extend2Fit with the interesting-looking rebound bar. It was used by our daughter for a few weeks. Some features were quite convenient, but what could have been a near-perfect seat got overshadowed by a few, seemingly poor design choices.PROS- Mostly well-written manual (some things took a while to figure out as the guide did not address some of our questions)- Surprisingly light weight compared to our Britax and other Graco- Standard safety features you expect are there- Rebound bar that supposedly makes rear-facing a bit safer-- Claims to allow rear-facing to be used up until the toddler is 50 lbs- Cup holder, allowing the child to keep his or her own snacks and drinks readily available- Slot for manual to be stored at the bottom-rear. (A manual should always be available since the seat may be moved to a car that has a completely different way of securing it)- In a rear-facing configuration, the latch harness can be stowed away by clipping it under the front of the seatCONS- With extension in use, the car seat takes up a WHOLE LOT of space- Shoulder harness release can be difficult to access (I found the easiest way to release is to simply push on the seat padding approximately where the release is at)- Unlike the 4Ever DLX Platinum model, the latch harness does not have a self-tightening mechanism (similar to when you overextend the seat belt to have it start locking and getting tighter) that very conveniently helps secure the seat (especially for those who lack the muscle strength)- Level indicator does not use a more accurate air bubbleOverall, the car seat is very nice, not-withholding some of the seemingly poor design choices, and we are delighted to have it to protect our daughter. We were a bit dismayed how difficult it can be to loosen the shoulder straps because of the hidden, difficult-to-reach release.TIPS- If you are researching car seats, we highly, HIGHLY recommend that you take a car seat safety class. Our hospital offered it for free. Most parents we know do NOT know how to use their seats correctly (in regards to securing it to the car and securing the child). In fact, statistics show that at least 70% (or more?) of parents use their seats incorrectly.- Don't use any aftermarket accessories with the seat. If it wasn't designed by the manufacturer for your seat, don't use it.- Do not incline the seat too far back as it can eject the child in a crash. Incline in not enough (too much up), it can make breathing difficult for the child. Be sure the bubble stays within the blue line when mounting the seat in the car. Make sure the car is on a flat surface when you do so- Car seat is only good for 10 years from the date of manufacture. You should throw it away after that date as it becomes unsafe- If you have been in a car accident, even a minor one, you will have to replace the car seat as it may have become unsafe to use. The insurance company may deny you coverage if you continue using a seat that was involved in an accident.- Do not have the child wear heavy clothing while in the seat. In a crash, the child can slip out because the harness isn't able to hold him/her in the seat. Instead, wrap the child in the heavy clothing, put him/her into the seat, and then cover him/her with the heavy clothing or blanket. Search the web for some news videos telling you about this danger (manual states it too.)- Rear-facing is safest. Keep your child in that position for as long as possible and resist the temptation to have them be forward-facing as soon as they turn 2. We plan on turning our son forward once he either hits the maximum weight or height (whichever comes first) the seat allows.- Center position is the safest to mount your seat at for side collisions. If your car can't keep the seat in the center of the rear row, there's a debate on whether the driver side or the passenger side is safer. We keep our child at the passenger side. If you have 2 car seats, put the younger child in the center.- Your local fire or police department may or may not be certified to help you put your car seat into your car correctly. It's best to contact your local hospital to find a certified trainer.- Don't let your child (especially infants) sleep in the seat for too long as they could potentially suffocate. Don't leave them unsupervised at any given time.- READ THE MANUAL for other safety tips. They are actually pretty good!Consult a professional as I am not licensed to give advice. The above tips were learned through experience, research, and going to the seat safety course at our local hospital.

Secure RearFacing Easy Install
I needed a seat for my youngest who had outgrown the infant seat but was not he’s y enough to be front facing. We found it challenging to get a rear-facing convertible seat with a secure install. The snug fit feature does just that. The install is quick and easy using the latch system.
