Bought this to ride out Hurricane Fiona, 5 days with no power used this 24/7. Lots of wind and rain and it worked flawlessly, great purchase!

Design flaw, it will not provide adequate protection for the generator. The lifted flaps will roll in the wind. This means it cannot provide the protection when the generator needs it most. You need a stronger guard such as a metal enclouse.

COVER IS GREAT BUT WAS MISSING ONE OF THE RUBBER THAT GOES TO THE CLAMPS :(

I’ve been struggling for years trying to find a way to protect my generator when running in storms. I’ve improvised all sorts of solutions over the past years, but none of them worked very well. When I found the COVER GENY -GENERATOR RUNNING COVER I had great hopes this would solve my needs and it does.WHAT I NEEDED the COVER GENY - GENERATOR RUNNING COVER for.The manual for my generator makes a point not to run in the rain, but guess when the power goes out. Yep, in a storm. You are also not supposed to run generators in the garage due to CO2/CO issues. The generator manual says to run the generator about 20’ from the house, but in a storm there was no way to protect or shelter it and meet all the above conditions, until I got the COVER GENY - GENERATOR RUNNING COVER. The other reason I needed a slightly oversized cover was to protect my alternate fuel source adapter (LP GAS) which slightly overhangs the generator frame.SETUPOverall, it was easy to assemble and attach to my 12,000 WATT generator. I found the written instructions a little complicated, but when I looked at the pictures it was pretty obvious how it all gets assembled and attached.PERFORMANCEThe COVER GENY - GENERATOR RUNNING COVER fits my generator well, with some overhang which will help protect it from the elements and protect my LP gas adapter. I like the reinforced top (wood) which allows me to place things on top of the generator without resting on the gas tank. I like the removable sides to provide air intake and heat dissipation.RECOMMENDATIONI wish I knew about the COVER GENY - GENERATOR RUNNING COVER sooner. I can tell it will be a great asset to my home power backup needs. I will probably purchase a second one for my redundant generator.
