I wouldn’t think you can. That is exactly what broke on my tent after only 5 uses. Good luck.

Q: Is this tent good, or can be used, as a vender tent/booth in a sale event?

I used it as a vendor tent, but found it in unmangeable in setup. Once up it requires cinder block anchors in all 4 corners to keep it on the ground.

Q: Must you use the stakes? Can you just use the weight bags?

You can use only the weight bags if you like but because we're in Texas we used both because of the very strong wind there.

Q: The directions say there should be velcro attachments at the top of each corner, are the instructions dated or is mine missing it?

I have two of these tents now. Both of them (one purchased last year and one purchased just two weeks ago) have a velcro strap that you pull down and wrap around each leg. It is not at the top. It extends down the leg to keep the cover down the side around the leg. Hope this answers your question/concern.
