I got the Bernat Softee Chunky yarn (Shadow) to make a throw blanket. I ended up using 6 different skeins. There was some issue with color consistency but that is to be expected with different dye lots. What was more annoying was the lack of consistency in texture. Some skeins were stiff and rough, but overall I liked the yarn, thought it was fun and easy to work with, and made a fun looking blanket.I used Bernat softee chunky Dark Mauve and Seagreen for two of the solid colors (and a different brand entirely for the solid beige color). Those skeins were softer, for some reason. They also didn’t match the colors in the variegated Shadow yarn as closely as I would have hoped considering they were they same brand, but it worked out for my blanket since there is a lot going on.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a very scratchy yarn I was expecting it to be soft for a blanket this feels more like rug material. I'm hoping when I finish I can wash it and use alot of fabric softener to make it softer. Definitely not baby yarn!
