We bought this for our 1 year old male Golden Retriever following his castration as he was very uncomfortable in the cone and it has made all of our lives so much easier! He is so much more comfortable and it has stopped him reaching the wound - he hasn't even tried to lick. The XL size is a good fit for our boy who is a slim and athletic GR. The product is well made with strong velcro. Can be a bit tight to get his front legs through but we have managed it even with a bandage on his front leg following foot surgery too, so it's definitely managable! He seems very comfortable in it once it's on. Would definitely recommend

Bought this in a medium for my 18kg pup but it was far too small, despite reading all the reviews , I think she would need an XL. So I returned it.However it was a good thickness so in the right size would be ok.

Our 18 mth old found it comfy to wear, no issues, however the crotch area isn't entirely covered so a determined pooch( like ours) managed to get to the parts he shouldn't have. I ordered a 2 Nd as a spare, but the Vet provided a much better one for £10 more. Check your vets price 1st ......

We had our ginormous Newfypoo spayed today, so rather than pay the exorbitant amount that the vets wanted for a recovery suit, we bought our own. My initial thought was: is this going to fit our enormous beast? But it is made of very stretchy fabric and fits perfectly. Even with the Velcro straps not fitted all the way around her bottom it covers her tummy wound perfectly and prevents her from nibbling. The large Velcro pads stick like limpets and can be fitted in such a way as to allow her to do what dogs need to do at the moment, on brief walks around the block. Certainly it is much better than the traditional "lampshade", which for our Newfypoo is absolutely enormous and she collided with doors, tables and most other things. At a very reasonable price, I certainly recommend this recovery suit. Be very careful to choose the correct size for your pooch, from the table.

The item was good and well made and would have been perfect for after surgery to protect the wound from being licked for the first couple of days. And being able to open the back section to allow toilet requirements and airing the scar. Unfortunately the sizing is out. And had to return.

Very poorly made with some of the Velcro coming off from first time opening it, super thin material so whilst stopped my dog from reaching the area, saliva can go through onto wound. The advice they give ref allowing dogs to go toilet doesn’t work. I had to buy another from the vet so just wouldn’t recommend.

Stay in place. You can more the back to each side so they can pee & poo. Really good. Easy to put on and stay in place. No problem with staying in place to protect the wound and stop licking. Work for my dog. I when for the next size XL up as the l size I thought was tight.

Bought this for a St Bernard girl post op. Bought the XXL and expected to be large as she is smaller built than most male dogs. First point is don't expect this to fit a larger dog if over 60kg as this is snug on our 46kg girl. Second, Velcro attachments are strong to the point if they will not come loose (good) and some may struggle to detach when required. Third point and a bit negative is when both leg attachments or on there is no way for your dog to toilet properly, no gap for boys at all and the back comes up so high it covers girls bits and nearly the poo passage too (could get messy). On this we found using only one strap round leg keeps abdomen covered enough and lets our girl toilet unhindered (sorry but boys would need a cut in suit to accommodate an exit point). Still a good product that could be better if redesigned to suit.
