Ok, here’s a real review from an expert tanner. I have tried drug store tanners to Sephora tanners to high-end tanners like Loving Tan. This stuff is gold! I think some of the bad reviews might be from people that don’t know what they are doing.First of all, NEVER WAIT JUST AN HOUR for any self tanner. I don’t care what the bottle says. I don’t care if it’s a $7 bottle or $100. You need to wait 8 hours for results. Beauty is pain people!Second, as a person who likes to be 10 shades darker I am VERY hard to please. I like to be very dark so most tanners do not cut it for me. I chronically do 2-3 applications for one tanning session. I wait for one application to dry for 5 minutes and then apply 1-2 more. Even then some self tanners do not cut it for me. Tan AF tanner is definitely a beautiful darker color. I was shocked that a $10-$14 bottle could achieve a fairly dark color. My one complaint is that it was 3 applications to achieve the results in the photo but I love the color.Third, people have complained about this coming off of sheets or the grey color (second photo). Omg. That’s just silly to me. The grey color gave me BEAUTIFUL dark color without a hint of orange. Tan AF nailed it in the color department. I’m not a golden tan. I’m a deep dark brownish tan. Incredible. I wore it all night. Very little depositing of color on sheets or clothes, which is awesome. They use very little bronzer in their solution. Two thumbs up from me.Fourth, it dries so quickly. I’ve had sooooo many self tanners be sticky as hell and annoying to have on for 8 hours. This stuff dries fast with no sticky residue feeling!!! Amen to that! And for the first time ever....there is virtually no scent. No other tanner has achieved that! Impressive.Fifth, the price is awesome. You can grab this at Walmart for $10. That’s amazing even if I apply 3 times. The bottle is a great size. Not too small but not on the large side either. I freaking love this stuff. Give it a try!! And, make sure that the week before application you are heavily moisturized, shower and exfoliate right before application, and wait the full 8 hours!!

To begin with, I am paper white. Some would say translucent. I get sunburnt in the shade. So now that I've set the scene, here is my experience and questionable methodology.I followed the directions on the bottle... mostly. I applied with a mit and waited just the 9 minutes in my nude glory holding a ridiculous position (my fellow top heavy ladies will know what I mean). And then rinsed off for probably two minutes. Even with over double the rinsing time, I had a nice light golden tan develop. For those of you who are reading through these reviews trying to determine if a 9 minute tan is even possible, let me tell you, it is.Here are some things to be aware of:If you are looking for a shocking difference after first application go with a product that has a longer sit/develop time.The shade of tan is incredibly natural. I mean not even a hint of cheeto dust orange.The guide colour is grey but it rinses right off.There is no staining.You will not smell like a bag of chips.

ONLY LISTEN TO THIS REVIEW lolThis tanner is great! And I've used many expensive and cheap tanners before.To start I am Caucasian with a medium skin tone, I tan naturally easy but living in Canada with the winter and covid shutting down tanning salons I was not going to give up.Since I like a dark tan I used 2 coats the first day and left in on for 6 hours (I prefer to apply on a weekend morning instead of sleeping with it so I don't make my sheets dirty, just walk around with tanner on for a day its fine) it dried fast and didn't get on everything I touched. I highly recommend using a tanning mitt otherwise your hands will be f*cked. If your a beginner here is what you need to remember; add lotion to your knees and elbows so the tanner won't stick as well, that way you won't get dark spots on these dryer areas of skin; use a mitt; I recommend using it on your face but ONLY to add contour, like makeup, on cheekbones, chin, etc, don't put it around your eyes; if you get it on your hands, wash immediately! And also let dry for 15-20min before putting on clothes.The first pic is my 2rd application (I do one a week) the second is after I washed it off, and the third pick is my pasty ass prior. This tanner does have a slight orangey under tone so if you carry those tones in your skin already, apply once and leave for a couple hours to test. AWESOME product, and affordable. I think I got 6 tans out of one bottle, and I use a lot lol

I went from ginger pale white to brown. I am brown. Not orange. I am brown. I was almost embarrassed to come to bed because I came out of the bathroom an entire different colour. And it’s got an olive undertone, so plus for not looking like an oompa loompa. No smell either. Don’t sit on plastic while applying, may have some discolouration where nobody will see anyways. I don’t leave reviews I have to come here to say i can’t believe I didn’t go orange. And I mean I’m pale. Like Irish girl on a beach blending in with the white sand pale.

I waited until my second use to make sure when writing the review. It's defo worth the buy! I'm pasty white being a red head and it makes a huge difference. 1st time of use I mixed it with moisturiser to make it spread easier and left it for a few hours before a shower. 2nd time, straight from the bottle, slept over night and showered with amazing results! Well empressed! Easy to use, scent isn't to bad like other brands and lasts long enough. It dosnt come of patchy and dosnt have that cracked skin look when fading of either. Defo recommend, particularly us red heads!
