A good read in the series from Liz.
Otis first met Georgia when he went to her bookshop to buy a book for his seven year old daughter, Joey, and ended up with her kissing him to get an ex off her back.He keeps pop'ping into the shop to see her but she's not always around and then she starts going out with someone else. He's busy looking after his daughter as his ex-wife is now ill and can't cope. He's thinking about the band and whether he wants to keep playing and touring.Georgia was very taken with Otis but feels that he's out of her league. Can they make a go of it? Will the timing ever be right?I got a free copy from Prolific Works and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Thought I would try again
Having already downloaded the 2nd book in this series I decided I would try again, thank goodness for KU if I had bought these books I would be really annoyed. The author rambles all over the place I have no idea who is who, the author needs to decide whose story she is telling and stick with it. It is rather like someone coming in on the middle of your conversation and you expecting them to know what you are talking about, very annoying😒

Another great book from Liz Isaacson!
I honestly love these characters from Coral Canyon! Liz has made them so real to me that even though there are a ton of them - I mean, Otis has 8 brothers alone! - I can remember all their names and the ones of their significant or potential significant others. When I first read (in Book 1 of the series) about Georgia pulling Otis into her office and making him kiss her, I wanted to read their story. And boy was I NOT disappointed.I don't want to give anything away, but rest assured, you'll be turning the pages late into the night and wishing you had more time to read in the day. It's also great that we get chapters from some of the other brothers too. Now I can't wait to read Morris and Leighann's story. Highly recommended.

Otis
This series theme is single dads in a family of 9 brothers. If you aren't familiar with Liz's books you may not understand the genius of her continuing to add where she left off and giving us snippets of the next couples she'll write about. I personally love this style because I don't have to let go of the couples I've gotten to know while also getting to know a little of the new couples coming. Great book, can't wait to read book 3.

Sweet series but confused which family we're following
This is my second of these books. For the most part I've enjoyed them. I do not care for the way the stories suddenly morph into another totally unrelated family saga for whom there is no context. They're not really necessary and distract and confuse. Perhaps if they're a series (they probably are) and one which you've read, maybe that would be more enjoyable. But that's assuming a lot. I'm not sure what the purpose is, because it doesn't relate or connect--but if the families must be included, it can be much lighter in content and details. For example, "The Youngs traditionally spent the 4th with the _____ families, having been connected in the community for generations and through the music industry with the Everest Sisters." We don't need to know about gray hair, closing up equine farms, specific kids and attitude issues, etc., of a family for whom there's pretty much zero context. I thought in the first book that it was an error. It was so disconcerting to switch into a family's discipline drama with ZERO context for this family and the only connection is one family (sort of) has a dog that will go to another. It would suffice to say, "Your prayers were answered. I hate that this is happening, but I have a dog for you... "(Fast forward) "These are my sons_____&____. (FF again) "John here would love to learn the guitar. Any chance we could work something out?", etc. Without all the unnecessary, confusing, details that barely, if at all, connect.Very frustrating. Again, it's like we're all supposed to know well (and care about) who these people are.To illustrate how it feels: The story is going along building momentum, then scrreeeech!!!! we're swerving off the pavement onto a confusing, twisty detour without any warning, and then scrreeeech!!!! we serve back on leaving us scratching our heads and wondering what just happened and why. I'm not saying this is the author's intention, but it's as if she's a trying to figure out how to make the book bigger so gonna throw in this other family whose vaguely connected with some of their family drama to bulk up. I doubt that's the case, I hope it's not, but I can't figure out why.I'm not sure I can keep reading. There are elements I enjoy, 9 dudes who are all single dads and happen to pretty much have custody of their kids... Plus this other family popping in and out...? I don't think I have it in me to keep going. I adore series, I adore books (I read about 600/year) and rarely write negative reviews, but this is a bit much for taste.
