I've wanted a quality joystick since playing in the arcades in Japan, and this one definitely has nailed the look and feel of what I remember. It's light, quick to respond, and allowed me to swap the ball top out for a Chrome one I'd picked up. These are spendy, but they'll get you as close to Akihabara as you can get without taking the JR train

A classic. The LS-32 was the stick originally included in Japanese SF2 cabs. It has a shorter throw than Sanwa sticks and feel's "tighter", as it has more resistance. These sticks are discontinued (replaced with a version using custom Omron switches) so if you can find it in stock buy it. If your arcade stick came with a Sanwa or clone, this specific version might need an "S" plate to be mounted on your arcade stick (if your stick has the Seimitsu S mounts), and a harness that separates the Sanwa 4 pin cable into separate connections.

Has a short throw distance and a tight spring for that authentic arcade feel. I modded the Mayflash F500 with this but I had to do a bit of soldering (long story short, get the 5 pin seimitsu arcade stick if you're getting a stick with 5 pins) The E-clip on the shaft is a buttcheek on a stick to remove though, and I ended up loosening up the spring trying to get it off for a shaft replacement. oof.

Got this as a replacement for the joystick on the 8bitdo NES30 arcade stick, and so far I've liked it a lot better than the stock stick. Install wasn't too hard there are wires you can get with connectors if you don't want to soder.

Used this to make a bluetooth arcade stick and it works beautifully. I have two cheaper sticks one is american style the other a sanwa replica and they are not as smooth and alot more clicky. This is the only stick id recommend.

The stick is firm and the base under it is adjustable so if you like swuare or octagonal then those options are available. It is a little short though
