I did a lot of research before buying sun screen, because most sunscreens on the US market are not effective at all.People mistake a quality brand of skin care products with quality sunscreen, and it's false.Consumer Reports rated Pure Sun Defense not only a best buy, but also one of the most effective sunscreens on the market. Note, this is only for the lotion. The spray version is not as effective.A line of sunscreens like Copper Tone are also not all created equally. One product of CT might be effective, while another is not, yet they seem almost identical to the consumer. It's crucial to do your research before buying. Your skin matters, and skin cancer is the MOST preventable disease known.I used this sunscreen in the Caribbean, where just 5 minutes in the sun can roast you. I used it on my face and body with no issues. I should have remember to put it on the tops of my feet when wearing sandals.The pic I included is of my shoulder. I used the sunscreen that day and you can clearly see the tan line from the tank top. You can also see the rest of my skin is tanned but not burned. However, that patch was missed with the sunscreen and it burned. This pic is to illustrate the effectiveness of the product as opposed to not using it.I would and have bought this product again and recommend it to others with fair skin and some sensitivity to fragrance.

My son got a rash and itching skin for whole week after applying it i tool him to his dr and she gives him a steriod cream so rash can clear and to help with itching too i think it might be very harsh for my son skin

Seems to work well, strong sun protection. It goes on smoothly and doesn't leave a white mask on face. My only complaint is the avobenzine burns my eyes if any gets in and also leaves a lasting chemical taste in my mouth. I'd use this for body but find something without the avobenzine for the face.

Everything they say about this one being gentle, fragrance-free, and non-goopey is true. My family is EXTREMELY sensitive to fragrances and slimy or heavy or sticky sensations from most sunscreens, including all the natural and hypoallergenic ones. This one is smooth, lightweight, unscented, and highly effective. Consumer Reports rated it extremely highly too. Since I can't find it at Target anymore, I'm thrilled to find it here!Note: We only like the lotion kind, not the spray from the same name. We've tried both.

In looking for a product that is a good balance between Consumer Reports and EWG recommendations, Pure Sun Defense meets our family's needs. It protects us all well and doesn't leave us greased up like "natural" sunscreens. We used our first bottle over the summer and have now returned for more! Shop the prices for the different characters on the labels. The prices vary within a few dollars depending on which Disney character graces the front of the bottle.

I read reviews of this sunscreen on a consumer web site. It is highly rated and works just fine on adults, as you would expect. And it is cruelty-free, which is very important to me. The feel of it is NOT greasy. I slather it on and it just feels good on my face.

Best sunscreen for people who hate purfume type smells and greasy feels. This is best I have used. Sun protection is top notch. Read ingredients if your a hypochondriac.

It works well but I don't go out in the sun that much. It was rated #2 in Consumer Reports (#1 was very expensive). It goes on smoothly and I didn't think it felt greasy.
