Amazing, handles massive power but can be used with little power and still sound good
Ive used these for both my home system and my carFor my home system I use BBE and EQ APO(which I use vst chains for things such spatial enhancement, widening as well as high end boosters and "air" as well as vocal enhancers to "pull" vocals to the front as most media these days the dialogue is almost impossible to hear) and have a stereo multiroom, multi amp, multi speaker system with multiple crossovers and speaker types(for example I have 4 subs playing different ranges of low end from mid bass down to 20hz some set to play 300 to 100 some set to play 150 to 60 some set to 80 to 20) my car is a OEM amp systemFor my home use my dsp causes significant wear on the speakers I use I try to limit this by using a combo of limiting power(I put volume right above distortion from to little power) and headphone amps to boost the volume while lowering the sound pressure and power usage of the speakers while keeping the volume loud, I do this both to protect my speakers and to have a very loud system that reaches all corners of my house yet can barely be heard outside I could get into all this but thats not the point here I just needed to point this out to boost my point that these things can handle pretty much anything you can throw at themFor my home to test these I have hooked them up to a amp alone, this amp was 120w rms with the volume all the way up on the amp this took it like a champ, due to my dsp the high end is rather insane I had to cross my normal speakers to prevent damage most had very bad speaker breakup and distortion past 8k due to how much I high end I have, its not a boost its a dsp meaning I dont just turn up sliders on a eq past 8k I have many vst chains I use to process the high end to make it more wide, clear and airy which most woofers just simply cannot handle at best I get bad sibilance and breakup on the other hand these tweeters take it like a champ I cant truly tell the "natural" sound of these in my home due to this but I added this to point out they can take abuse and so far none have blown, and Im NOT kind on my speakersAs for my car the OEM amp is 350w now what that means who knows but I feel safe to halve that for rms and I have a factory sub plus two 8in midbass woofers in the rear and 6.5 mid range speakers in the front all combine I would guess close to my guessed rms so in my car these are not all that loud but they do make a rather big difference over both oem tweeters and the cheap ones I replaced both are NOT silk domeFrom my car I can see what they sound like without processing and while they are rather quiet they are very warm, crisp and bright but even in my house with all the processing they are not overly so they sound amazing in all honesty, prior to ordering these I was missing tweeters and had massive issues with my home system due to what I have said above, my experience with tweeters overall have been fairly bad I have a personal preference for the "rock" eq setting and while there are 1000s of devices, sw, etc that uses a "rock" setting most are not the exact same however the bases of that eq setting is, it dramatically bumps up low end and high end while decreasing midrange and I LOVE high end it really makes stuff come alive but any time Ive added a tweeter using this setting it hurts my ears and sounds very harsh, after some research I discovered this is rather normal and the way to fix this is to get silk dome, and I was looking across Amazon and saw these were one of the cheapest I didnt expect all that much for them, I just honestly was running a test to see if what I had researched was true and that silk domes were not harsh, and I feel in love with theseAs far as build quality goes Id argue this is mixed, Id say overall they are not much different than most other tweeters in this price range, but the speaker itself is tied to the grill so you cant remove it without absolutely ripping it apart, the back has two bases one a angle mount the other a flat mount, that snaps ether into a ring that is the same size or a ring that has an edge for mounting in a wall/inside a car such as the a pillar or door, but the grill is part of the speaker itself I figured that out the hard way, it looks like the speaker is smaller than the grill and one of my use cases I needed it smaller so I tried to pop it out and it destroyed it and rendered it unrepairable, in doing so however I was able to see inside and I can tell you its VERY VERY VERY VERY cheap at least it looks that way to me, I dont see any issue with build quality over all in normal use cases, I suspect these will last quite awhile based on my tests in power handling but they are not rugged by any means and any abnormally rough use cases such as on smaller vehicles like atvs or in places were they physically will get more wear from things like vibration I could see them not lasting very long in short the external build quality is just fine and on par with others in this price range, its plastic for example but it doesnt "feel" cheap or weak in any way and handling and installing it should be no problem at all, it seems that while the inside is cheap assuming a lack of very rough handling/use case even though this is the case it doesnt affect overall build quality for normal use cases and shouldnt affect longevityAs far as sound goes in what they can handle Ive used/use them with and without a bass blocker, they seem to work just fine and sound very good even without a bass blocker in fact Im torn with a bass blocker it blocks some fqs it can play very well so I see it as a waste, the specs say somewere around 2.5k if I remmber correctly but Id argue they play down to 1 - 1.5k very well and 500 - 1k decently but if you turn up the bass they are prone to sinbance and breakup and while I havent blown one yet Id argue they wont be able to handle high levels of bass for long, I have most of them crossed at the very least 300hz(amp level with more speakers than just tweeters) some with a bass blocker both 3k and 5k crossed at the speaker level depending on use case altho I stopped using 5k cross because it dramticlly lowered the volume and they can handle a 3k cross just fineThey come with a 5k cross if you want to use a bass blocker Id recommend buying a 3k cross on amazon rather than using the one provided in the boxFor most use cases 3k seems to be the best and with 5k cross they dont sound as good nor as loud as the 3k cross but using the 3k cross lowers the volume somewhat which is why I do have some without any bass blockersWith my dsp and boosting vocals like I do I have some that vocals are ABSOLUTLY clean and powerful and directly equvent to a woofers sound which for a seemingly cheap inside 1in driver thats rather amazingTo be clear Im a budget audiophile but Im also a computer, physics and medical nerd and tend to violate quite a few audiophile rules, I have not used room correction(altho Im sure that would fix some of the remaining issues Im having) and most of my speakers, cables and related hardware is what most people would refer to low end, to be honest IF one has the money buying audiophile level equipment would be a out of the box solution but I cannot afford that not even close, my system sounds like a multi grand system with soundproofing and sound optimization without any of that and less than a grand for everything from cables, speakers, crossovers this includes pricing for the speakers I have that are over a decade old and stuff I have "collected" over the years but I use my knowledge of computers and physics as well as my dsp to make up for that but it has been ALOT of work and requires not just dsp adjustments but knowledge of proper speaker placement, understanding of sound engineering, physics and human neurology as well as far more speakers to fill sound voids, etc than a high end system would require(for example that is why I have so many subs using one 12 for sub bass and the rest for bass to mid bass I can "carry" the sub bass to all corners of my house without physical enhancers and dampeners, but it should be noted however using my knowledge of psychoacoustics I can make it SOUND like I said above BUT practically its unlikely the sub bass carries as far as it sounds like it does this is a major reason it can barely be heard from outside but is quite loud inside) as of late I have started upgrading some of my equipment one of my biggest was amps due to the dramatically lower cost and loads of Chinese options with opamps on amazon now I now have low end audiophile level amps and I will fully admit that made a huge difference but most of my speakers are 2nd hand, very old and normal brands like sony and magnovox which ARE NOT audiophile levelYou may be wondering what all above has to do with a review about tweeters well its to point out that not just that Im very skilled in this subject but that I have a abnormal use case that pushes these tweeters very hard which shows how much they can handle, I dont have measuring equipment but Id love to see more reviews like that to show exact measurements, one of the reasons I bought the amps I did was due to someone doing this which allowed me to see exactly and accurately if the amp would benefit me or waste my money as I already had all the amps I needed the ones I got were an upgrade only but I live off grid and in a small house so power usage is a big deal and with my dsp knowing exact specs allowed me to visualize in my head so to speak what improvements they would have and what changes to my dsp Id need to make as well if the speakers I already had would work with them which dramaticly lowered the time I needed to install the amps but I dont know if will help anyone or not but I tried to do that at least somewhat in this review which is why I went on about what my home system is and my skill levelSo short and simpleThese things can take a pounding without burning out, they sound very good with lots of power or very little power, build quality is decent and on par with the price range but might cause issues for abnormally rough applications, they sound amazing with or without processing and can handle more or less all the way down to roughly 500 - 600hz without much issue but do not like heavy bass but might not be a issue for most/if using a bass blocker

Great sound quality for the price
Perfect fit when replacing the stock tweeters in my 2011 BMW 3 series. I spent a fair amount on my amp and sub and decided to get these tweets along with a pair of 4" PRV Audio speakers and HiQltyla 2 Way Crossovers as a temporary budget setup until I was ready to spend more on a really nice set of speakers. After some time dialing in the tune on my I don't really feel a need to upgrade further. These tweets are clear and balanced without being excessively bright or harsh. I've listened to them for over 100 hours of primarily rock music, but they work well with everything and definitely are superior to the OEM tweeters. Amazing that after spending nearly $2000 on a car stereo that these $20 speakers are holding their own - I'm sure it helps that I'm able to make detailed adjustments to the sound with amp's EQ settings, but I think these would sound pretty good with any decent amp. They don't have fancy packaging and don't look high-end, but once they're behind the speaker grills, I can't see them, but I like what I hear.

Not bad for the price
While the sound quality is exceptionally good for the price, the build quality is severely lacking. The provided tweeter housings are far from a snug fit on the tweeters; they rattle inward, outward, up, and down inside of them. I had to use some spare foam I had laying around to stuff in the housing to snug up the fit.Upon removing the flush mount cover and switching to the surface mount, I found one of the wires to the back of a tweeter had come unsoldered. Luckily I had the ability to re-solder it, but many people purchasing may not have been able to. Came with pretty crappy wires but that’s not much to complain aboutThe sound quality is actually far better than I would have ever expected for the price. They’re paired with a $400 set of Audison Voce series (system is running at 50w RMS), and hold their own in the mix. I merely bought these based on the reviews and the fact they had 1 day shipping available and was hoping they’d hold me over till the set I really wanted came back in stock, but I think I’m gonna stick with them. They’re loud, but refined. They aren’t harsh or tinny like a lot of cheap tweeters come out to be.The sound quality more than makes up for the lacking build quality, and overall I’m happy enough with the purchase

Nice sound, great price BUT……
I’m a former hi-end car audio installer and i still found these tweeters to be a fantastic value, but all of pieces of the surface mounts seem to be missing from the box & I don’t see them completely represented in any of the product pictures either…..also, I realize that PROMO STICKERS are a big hit with the younger generation, but a set of INSTRUCTIONS would be nice for people with less skill’s
