Sweepa - Rubber Broom

Q: What is the handle made out of? i have an original Sweepa and the handle is metal, and has lasted for years.

Although the handle is made of metal, at the very bottom end there is a small plastic fitting that sits inside of the handle. This fitting has a flange which keeps it from sliding deeper into the handle. There is a small set screw, that is screwed through the handle into that plastic fitting. This set screw keeps the plastic fitting from being pulled from the metal handle. This piece of plastic is threaded, so it can be screwed into the squeegee/bristle head. This piece of plastic is the part that breaks, but it is fairly easy to repair.

Q: Does it have a squeegie on one side as well

Yes it does. Worked great on my tile and vinyl floors for spills. Just remember to pull the broom toward you when using either side!

Q: what will a 115 degree heat of Phoenix Arizona do to a rubber broom?

I live in Phoenix but I use my rubber broom inside. It's great for getting long hair off rugs before running the vacuum.
