DOES NOT FIT. POOR DESIGN OF THE FOUR VELCRO STRAPS!
Purchased two side pannier bags for my 2007 BMW R1200 GS ADV. The bags and the material look great. Not sure if they are totally waterproof, but have a feeling that it will take a while for the water to get through.Mounted the bag on the top lid of my side box and found a huge flaw in the design of the four velcro straps. They are way too long and do NOT pull the bag securely to the aluminum lid. I placed a couple of 2x4 underneath to show the gap. The bag would constanly bounce up and down unless I would use a bungee cord over the top!Then I tried the additional strap that is supposed to go under the aluminum pannier. After lengthening the strap to the max it was still about 6 inches to short. Even if this strap would have been long enough to reach the clip on the bag I would not want to rely on this strap to hold the bag on top of the pannier.Very dissapointed. A quick test fit on any pannier would have shown these flaws to the manufacturer.I don't think this is just bad quality control I think all the bags are having the same length for the velcro straps and the security belt.Love the GS Adventure silk screen and the reflective stripes. The material and the zippers are also of good quality but if it doesn't secure to the pannier it is useless.
