Meghna Right Thumb Gear Shifter SL-TX30-6R 6 Speed Bike Shift Lever for Mountain City Road Folding Bicycle

Bought this to see if it would make gear changing easier for my 7yr old daughter who was struggling with her grip-shifts. Pleased to say it did! Not only can she change gears with relative ease (up easier than done by virtue of the mechanics involved, but she's now mustered the strength and technique to do both) but it seems from a logical perspective she has a better idea about which way she needs to go. Easy to fit and indexing works perfectly once set up.

seems to jump 2 gear when changing down as others have said, but will check the alignment of derailleur idler wheels before I condemn it as i've have this problem before.UPDATE:Derailleur is fine. It turns out that when I shortened the outer cable to suit the inner cable length this created a too tight radius in the cable where it enters the derailleur which was causing cable drag.Once I returned the outer cable to its original length and extended the inner cable by adding a length from the old cable by joining the two using a 5amp terminal block it worked fine.Don’t be tempted to open the gubbings to fit a longer cable as you’ll be lucky to get it back together.

Works, super easy to fit, replaced a grip shifter with this and it is so much better, and the cable will be easy to replace when it eventually needs doing too.

The gears work well but there were absolutely no useful instructions provided and I had to get it calibrated by a bike shop because it was impossible to know what to do to adjust it - hence only 4 stars

Nice lever, my boy is over the moon with it, had to convert from revoshift as they are awful.
