Recently, I had sciatica and did physical therapy. This was similar to what they use after I did my exercises and hooked me up to a TENS machine. So, I do not have TENS machine at home but after either exercising or even walking I use this on my back lying down on the carpet with a pillow for about 15 mins and it helps brings down the inflammation. I like the size because it fits my size at 5'2. If you are taller you may want to go up to the next pack which is bigger in size.

I am completely blown away with how well the BodyMed gel cold pack works. The quality of this pack is far superior to the Walgreen's or CVS brands I've been using. This gel pack gets very cold quickly in the freezer AND it stays cold for a much longer period of time than the generic store-bought brands. I will be tossing out my old packs and buying a few other sizes of the BodyMed packs. Great product!!

I needed an extra really good ice pack after my total knee replacement and this was exactly what I wanted. The gel does not get hard so it easily mded around my knee where I needed cold. It was a lifesaver.
