I have been looking for a vacuum sealer for a long time, and was not impressed by any of the mass marketed ones. I used a friends mass marketed sealer and it just seemed cheap.This one works near perfectly. My only gripe is that I have to push down on both corners of the machine while vacuuming/sealing to ensure an adequate seal. It works great though. So far, I've been able to purchase family portions of meats/fish at Wegman's, cut them to smaller, more usable chunks, and seal them. Much better than using Ziploc's and wax paper, and surprisingly, less time. The scale will come in handy when I do my next batch of jerky and I seal individual packets!

It is good for the amount of money. Just remember to press a little harder when vacuum sealing.

I purchased this vacuum sealer because of the high reviews. It came in a white box, with no branding on it. I didn’t think much of it, because I’m not after a brand name. It worked perfectly until the magnets stopped working, and now it won’t vacuum properly. I’d imagine the electromagnets are part of properly sealing the bag. After 2 months of use, and maybe a total of a dozen seals. I should have bought a brand name at a brick and mortar store so I could return it. Not happy!Edit: I took the vacuum sealer apart, and inspected the circuit boards. Nothing looked burnt, or out of order. I pulled the electromagnet connector off, and reconnected it. Plugged it in, and tested it. The magnets worked again to my surprise!This is a decent unit, if you incorporate the scale in your vacuum packages. I use it for my smoked beef jerky, so the scale is a big help! The “tare” feature is great, you are able to remove the weight of the vacuum seal bag, and get an accurate reading. The clamshell design is perfect, and takes up very little space.

I'm loving this vacuum sealer. I have frozen several different things. I have thawed out a pack of grilled chicken. It was as moist as it was when I sealed it. Easy to use and saves space in freezer.

Perfect technique. It does not take much space in the kitchen. It's easy to understand without the help of instructions. It has an electronic display. I'm going to give it to my sister for birthday.

This vacuums well but you have to push down pretty hard on the middle of the lid to get it to start vacuuming.

Instructions could be made a little more detailed
