Steel Shield Weapon Shield Solvent - 16 oz with Sprayer

This a great solvent. If you don't mind soaking your bore overnight you might even find yourself giving up copper specific solvents.If you can find a local source for this product I highly recommend that. I ordered this and the CLP. The box arrived soaked. Major bummer. The CLP bottle has a seal under the lid. There is no such seal on the solvent and approximately 1/3 of the bottle soaked into the box. Very disappointing.

As always Weapon Shield is best clp and solvent in my opinion. With the clp just start with a clean gun, put a coating of clp, wipe off and after you shoot everything wipes off, I really only use the solvent for deep cleaning after a few range trips. The clp is also a very good lube. The solvent has Weapon Shield in it also. I have used many clp and lubes, oils and always go back to Weapon Shield. The solvent is really only needed for deep cleaning. The clp pen to refill just squeeze it a little and add drops from a large bottle if the pen pools at to just unsqueeze and it will pull the clp down into pen. Best stuff and contains no Teflon.

Best clp ever. Takes off stuff that hopes elite won't touch. Leaves a wonderful light coating.

This product works pretty good as a solvent but the thing I like most is it has a better odor than most solvents

I've used Weapon Shield's products for years and they've always been the best of the best, and that's what I always use for my Sig's.

This is my favorite solvent because it it is extremely effective at removing fouling. Also, it leaves behind a thin film that provides corrosion protection and some lubrication. You still want to follow up with Weaponshield CLP for maximum lubrication and protection.However, it's nice that this product doesn't leave your firearm bone dry like some of the modern water based, detergent type cleaners. While those cleaners are also very effective, you don't get that same "seasoned skillet" effect like you would after exclusivity using weaponshield products over a period of time since the solvent and CLP contain similar additives which permeate the metal with constant use.This is a great product at a very reasonable price. There are many great choices for gun care products. Weaponshield happens to be the best system in my opinion and I've been maintaining firearms since the 1970s. YMMV
