We have a lot of birds around the house. Wrens, bluebirds, cardinals, Sparrows, Doves, mockingbirds, finches, etc. So we feed them, provide water, and give them nesting boxes and a warm place during the winter. My husband has made dozens of nice bird boxes through the years. As we have gotten older, he doesn't make then anymore. We have started buying them. We have tried several brands, and most of them last a few years and then we replace them. Recently we purchased the CARTMAN Cedar Blue Bird Box Houses. When they arrived we were pleasantly surprised with how well they were constructed. The roofs were painted and they had such nice perches. The interior as well as the exterior was smooth and well sanded. There is a metal screen in the bottom for extra cleanliness for the babies. The front easily lifts for easy cleaning. There is a vented area on the front so air can flow through the box when it is hot. It seems they just thought of everything! They did a wonderful job and they came 2 to a set. The price was great! Who could ask for anything more! We purchased 2 more the following day. The boxes have been up a couple of weeks, and they all have tenants. They were occupied within 3 days. The birds seem to love them as much as we do. We will certainly buy them again without any doubt. They are the best!

This little birdhouse is great, it has lots of fun detail. It was a great addition to my yard art. The only reason I took off one star was there was a minor chip on the roof.

These are extremely nice for the price I paid. Well built and has the cedar smell. The entrance hole seems a little small but I could be wrong. Can't wait to put them up. Glad I didnt have to return them due to poor quality.

The birdhouse itself has all the features I want: the hole is the right size, and placed properly. There are scratch marks on the inside to help the babies climb the walls to fledge. There is a predator guard on the hole to help keep intruders out. Mostly properly ventilated. That's the good part... BUT:1. the box is made of 1/4 inch think wood so it's not particularly durable. I'd bring it in after nesting season.2. It has a perch under the hole - this is is a definite design mistake. Cute - but it won't be used by the birds - it will be used by predators. It must be removed.3. Next, you need to get your drill out and several very small 3/4" screws and screw the various pieces of the birdhouse together. It looks like this is being held together by wire nails - it won't hold up without additional screws.4. Take the screen out on the bottom of the nest. Bird claws can get stuck in this screen and it will kill them.5. Drill 1/2" holes into the bottom of the box to help with ventilation - and to allow for drainage.6. Put a proper closing mechanism on the swing-open front panel. The magnet won't do. Not strong enough at all. Industrial strength velcro might work - or a proper hook, but as is, no.

This bird house is really cute and easy to keep full and clean. My friend's Mother lives it because she can take care of it herself.

The bird house is very pretty but the hole is too big for wrens, which was what I wanted it for. No birds nested in it.

These bird houses are perfect in my opinion. I needed some new ones as mine have seen better days now. They seem very well made, the magnet to keep the clean out door closed is strong, I like that the door is in the front to make it easy, and they smell great. Both survived the shipping to Canada just fine. The raised mesh screen and vents at the top will keep air moving, although I will paint the top white so as to help them not to absorb any sun/heat in the summer. It is too late to put them out now but I will be sure to get them out in early spring. I may by more.

I couldn't believe how cute this birdhouse is. It is very well made and the colors are bright. I bought it for our families Chinese gift exchange at Christmas and I'm hoping I end up with it! I know that whoever does get it will be very pleased
