Good joint supplement
The Ayush mobility turmeric supplement seems to be helping my 11 year old dog keep more mobile. Since giving it to her I noticed her hind feet toenails don't seen to be dragging on the sidewalk as much when we go for our daily walks. It's also not affecting her gut sensitivity in any way which is good.

MY DOG WONT TOUCH IT
These come in capsule form. I dont know what dog is going to swallow a large capsule. I forced it down her for a few days only to find it really upset her stomach. She has not been the same since. I have tried contacting two different times and I dont even get a response.

Wish my dog would take these
I ordered these to give to my rottweiler who suffers from hip pain from arthritis. I have read several studies that claim turmeric is great for mobility and inflammation in humans and animals. I have tried getting these down her throat or in food and she is just not having it. I do believe this is a good supplement but my dog is just to smart to be fooled.

WSeems a good solution for pets with joint issues
I think this mobility issue is more related to dogs, especially certain breeds, however there are advertised benefits of this supplement, in addition to mobility help, that I feel some of my older cats might benefit from.As always, the biggest challange will be to get them to take it, most cats hate pills, even in wraps. Opening the capsule released a formerly slight, now strong, cumin/ tumeric spice smell. It might be possible to mix with food. The product claims 97% circumin content, I am assuming the other ingredients are there for ithe purpose of increasing bioavailability, as what brief reading I did on circumin/ tumeric, says that is the main issue as to getting the benefits of the compound. There was a lot of interesting reading about the effectiveness of treating osteo arthritis , which was interesting to me personally, as I have trouble in my hands. So if my cats pass on this, I think, I will give it a try!

Good substitute for tumeric or cumin powder
Our Chuckie is nearly 18 yrs old and as expected has some joint and mobility issues. We've tried tumeric and cumin before, but do not like the yellow beard it leaves on him, the yellow it leaves on the floor if he drops his home cooked meal, etc..... I also don't like the smell associated with pure tumeric or cumin. These pills are a nice alternative to use the "real" stuff. We placed the capsule directly in his food bowl. It did not stain his beard, food, etc....However, the product can stain. When I opened the bottle and removed the cotton in the bottle it was yellow/orange. I did not find it stained my fingers when handling, but be careful.I do not like the smell of pure tumeric or cumin. I did not notice that smell with the capsule format, but it did have a smell. It's difficult to know if these types of products really work especially with a dog that can't talk! :)This product is a bit expensive. I think I will use human grade tumeric cumin pills instead for a similar effect and lower price point.
