Seemed good to me
This seemed to work pretty good . However , I bought it as a gift for my ninety year old aunty and she will not use it because “it’s for old people” 😀they were very affordable and seemed reasonably innocuous placed in the ear. But aunty always gets “ or doesn’t get what she wants.

Poor overall quality.
Very difficult to insert and wear. Felt clumsy in and on the ear. Volume insufficient. I bought this for a neighbor who is hard of hearing but even with my help, we could not get it to fit comfortably. She couldn't hear any improvement in her hearing. I have no hearing problem but tried it on myself. It didn't seem to work very well. I don't know if I could have retuned it but I didn't bother.

So satisfied, I had to tell others.
I had taken audio tests from Costco for several years. But now I had an annoying ringing in my ears. So I asked my doctor what to do. He suggested going to a local audiologist.I was surprised that the test and results weren't much different from the ones at Costco. However, the audiologist told me to get hearing aids. Since that was more expensive than I felt I could afford, I contacted my doctor again. He suggested a personal sound amplifier. I chose a device that was not the cheapest but had the best reviews. I couldn't wait for it to come. I quickly put it on. Everything was so loud. I went to find the reviews again and found a video about the item's use. Still, the volume control didn't seem to do anything. When my husband talked it was way too loud. I decided to text Sentire on Facebook. I like things in writing. Quickly I got a response suggesting I give them my number and I would get a callback. Service was fantastic. The tech was extremely helpful, plus I enjoyed talking with him. It was decided the volume really didn't work on my unit. Within a few days, I received a new unit. I was so pleased that I even gave a talk about my new hearing device at the next meeting of the computer club. Unless your hearing loss is severe, I suggest you try one of these. It can be used in either ear or you can get just get two. I'm still getting used to it by trying it in different places where the background noises are varied. It takes some time to get used to it, but well worth the effort. Sentire Med SM-220 / Personal Hearing Enhancement Sound Amplifier / High Quality Digital Ear amplification device / beige

Allowed knowledge of hearing loss.
Fit ok; worth the price because they allowed the knowledge that there is a hearing loss.....recommendations are to go to an actual hearing aid company to get a more accurate device for the hearing loss you have.

Fantastic personal hearing amplifier for budget conscience consumers!
My wife struggles with minor hearing loss in her left ear and she needs some amplification of sounds like from the TV or her desktop computer speaker system. I purchased this wonderful little device for her and now she doesn’t have to wear her headphones all the time especially when she’s around other people talking. There are four programmed modes that adjust to different sound acoustics and a volume control from low to high for each mode. My wife finds that mode 2 is best for her at the lowest volume level. Everybody has different hearing problems and no one setting is best for everyone so experiment with each mode at different volume levels to find the best for your situation. If you have any technical questions with the device which we had, don’t hesitate to contact Sentire Med because they have a very rapid consumer friendly response team. I myself have had hearing loss in my right ear for some time and have been wearing a very expensive hearing aid. However, it needed repair and the cost was too high for me to fork out. I heard through a friend that Sentire Med had a personal hearing amplifier that rivaled low end hearing aids which is Model SP-Micro 100. I bought one about a year ago at almost one-third the cost of a major brand hearing aid and it saved my day. So for people out there who have moderate to major hearing loss in one or both ears I personally would recommend the SP-Micro 100 for your situation.

Great product, but we couldnt get it to fit securely.
My mother-in-law and I both tried this product, because we both suffer from hearing loss. The quality of the sound was great. There was a bit of adjustment, realizing I was hearing my fingers against my clothing.... but the biggest problem was that neither of us could get it to stay where it belonged. Mom wears glasses, and the device did not sit correctly behind her ear with her glasses on. I don't wear glasses, but I have very small, child-sized ears, and it just kept falling out from behind my ear. It stuck in the ear canal ok, but the weight of the device would drag it out once it fell. I really wanted to like it. Oh well...

Great First Hearing Aid
I've been losing hearing progressively in my left ear. It's gotten to the point where I can't locate my ringing cell phone given the lack of stereo directional sense provided by both ears. My primary care physician didn't feel it necessary to refer me to an audiologist or otolaryngologist. Sometimes you just have to address the problem on your own. And this product does work well for me. This product is able to boost sound level up to 36dB according to the specs. I estimate my left ear hearing sensitivity to be 10dB lower than my right ear. So I can adjust the volume so that my left ear and right ear are balanced. I definitely recommend this product, especially if you have never used a hearing aid before. I may not wear this in public, but I have no qualms about wearing around the house, and its comfortable enough to do so for hours at a time. The price is right to see (and hear) for yourself whether a hearing aid would help you, before you consider buying a much more expensive in-the-ear hearing aid.

Not quite sure yet
I retired recently after working in a factory for 12 years which required ear plugs. They always fell out on me. If I pushed them in real far my ears would just pressurize or something and pop them out no matter what. I've only had this amplifier for a day, but I'm not sure I'll like it. I am afraid of pushing it in to far and losing the plastic piece. And also, I wear glasses and I can't get it to stay on. I'm a very petite person and have small ears, so that may be a problem only tiny people might have. I'll keep trying and update this review after a week or so.
