One defective item after another
SomTech suffers from some serious quality control issues with these hubs. Mine started malfunctioning within a couple months of purchase, with almost constant screen flickering and input issues. Peripherals connected the hub would stop responding and, when the screen worked, weird artifacts would appear on the display.SomTech promptly replaced the item with a new one, but these same issues resurfaced - even when using a different supported laptop, a different screen, and different peripherals. At that point, SomTech refused to replace or refund the item again, and they maintain no sort of customer service outside Amazon - not even a website, let alone an e-mail address or a phone number. Equally, Amazon is unwilling to replace the item. I'm stuck with a hub that doesn't work and with a company that doesn't back up its products. Steer clear!

All ports work as advertised, gets a bit overheated.
All ports work out of the box, so...so far so good. Only concern is that the device gets a bit overheated after my first uses. I had two usb ports occupied and the micro SD, and only used it for a few minutes. Build quality is also just okay, plastic parts feel a bit cheap but I guess that's what you're paying for
