Love them - this is my second pair
These are really great.. after you've worn them in. I just received my second pair, my first hasn't worn out at all (6 months old) I just wanted variety. Putting on the new ones has sparked memories of the period of discomfort at first, so you may also experience this - tightness around foot, and a feeling like taking your bra off after a hard day, when removing them - but bear with, my first pair are my favourite things. They're incredibly comfortable, light, and don't cost social embarrassment due to looking too hippy. Excellent for the gym, round the house and walking. I did have to adapt the way I walked, as i felt i was slamming my heel down, but this is normal when transitioning to barefoot shoes - we're so used to heel cushioning - just shorten your stride and the issue will dissappear.Hope this review helps.

Good even for large foot
I have exceptionally high and wide feet especially after pregnancy. I was worried that these would be to narrow for my feet but they are fitting very well! I am happy and they are very comfortable. The laces are shortish but I guess this is good for gym and other sports so they won't open and become dangerous.

Great minimalist shoes
I purchased vibram five fingers prior to these and was twice sent crazy sizes so gave up and bought these instead. Very glad I did. Sizing is spot on and I am really enjoying wearing them. I am doing very short runs to start with and as expected different muscles are now working (namely calves) so building up gradually. I am wearing them for walking too and it is just so nice to actually feel my feet doing what they are supposed to do without all the unnecessary ‘support’. I can recommend these for walking, running or whatever you wish to use them for if a ‘barefoot’ shoe is what you are looking for.

Super light
First off, I love minimalist shoes. If you don't, you probably won't like these. I used to train in the vibram 5 finger shoes, then tried out the New Balance Minimus Trail, & finally decided to give these a shot. I do weightlifting and martial arts and wanted a shoe that was stable/wasn't going to move around a lot on my foot, was breathable, and still nice to wear just walking around. So far these are great. No side to side or backward shifting on the sole when I do heavy lifts or spinning kicks. The only time my feet shift noticeably forward is when I'm doing particular sled exercises, but that's fine. I used the size guide provided and they fit perfectly. Color was just as I expected.

Lightweight and comfortable
This would be my second pair of vapor gloves. The previous ones were the first generation and although incredibly comfortable, the material started fraying near the toe cap fairly soon. For these ones, time will tell. What I can say is that they were properly packaged, looked new (unlike other reviewers’ experience), and are extremely lightweight. The size is just right, Merrell are great at not making you second guess sizing for their shoes.I remember my old ones being a tad more comfortable, these have a little bit of rigidity, a plasticky feel which I hope will go away with some wear. All in all, a keeper for me.NB I wear and like barefoot shoes and sandals. For someone used with regular shoes, muscle soreness Is to be expected for a few days. The sensation of feeling every pebble is also something that goes largely unnoticed once you become a seasoned wearer.

Just buy them. Seriously.
These shoes are basically my life now. They have turned my feet into weird gripping walking hands - this is a good thing, if you’re wondering. Really comfy, wear them all the time. Only two down sides are that because the sole is so thin and flexible, they do wear through a bit faster than trainers, and they’re not the best looking pair of shoes, but i promise you, you won’t care once you’ve got the hang of walking around in them.Great for lifting and casual wear. Actually better quality than similar items from other brands that are nearly double the price.

Not wide enough for barefoot shoes
I liked them initially. They felt very lightweight and comfortable. But after a while, they started hurting. The toe area is quite restrictive. It’s not as wide as a true barefoot shoe should be. Also, after a long walk, there is pressure on the toes; the rubberized top irritated them, it felt very restricted. Overall, these Merrells OK for short walks. But can’t recommend them for long walks or runs. I will be looking for unrestrictive and more comfy barefoot shoes.

Go half a size/size up
I’m buying a second pair I love them that much but I’m normally a Uk4 and had to send them back to get a size up and they are perfect! I normally wear vivobarefoot trainers with no sole and these are just a little bit thicker than them. Very good barefoot trainers and nice to run in or day to day wear. Super comfy and look great.
