I have been a little on a turmeric kick lately, and so I have been wanting to replace many of my products with ones that have turmeric. And turmeric soap is just what I need! The soap does not lather like regular soaps, but there is some and cleans my body and face well. From using this daily in the shower, I have noticed my skin getting a soft warmth to it and a smooth feel. Turmeric is the key! I am getting more!

I have oily skin so I’m used to breakouts, even at almost 40 years old. I mainly get whiteheads and cystic acne. I’ve tried every type of product, and this is in the middle of the pack, but it works so I can’t complain…typical of soaps, this can dry out the face, causing oily skin to overcompensate & create more oil. But I find that if I use once per day (before bed), I’m fine by morning. As long as I keep a nice morning skin care routine, everything balances. During active acne periods, I use the turmeric soap for a week or two (once per night), and just use it once per week following. My skin thanks me, so I’m pleased & will continue to use.

I’ve had some of the boxes from this company arrive smushed. Some have been good. This one was mint. Very impressed. I have no clue what the difference is lol. Maybe the company is following these reviews and making sure these arrive better?But if you get a smushed box, don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater. This is soap and is still good, still usable.Smells like its ingredients, which some people prefer to a perfumey scent. This is more about the benefits than the scent, anyway. The two pack is a good value.

When I saw this soap, I thought I would give it a try, since I have been having trouble with irritation and dryness with my skin and edema in my legs. Turmeric is supposed to help with inflammation, so I thought I’d give it a shot.The first thing I noticed was the unexpected appearance. It was not orange yellow like the product page showed in the pictures. It was kind of a marbled brown and tan.The next thing that made this unique was the scent. It smells exactly like shelled, roasted and salted sunflower seeds. That’s not an unpleasant odor, but not necessarily something I want to smell like fresh out of the bathtub or shower.In order of appearance, the ingredients are listed as olive oil, cocoa butter, coconut oil, aloe vera turmeric and green tea. The large amount of oil helped hydrate my skin in the dry climate where I live. I didn’t require as much lotion as I normally do while using it. However, contrary to what was claimed on the product page, it did not help with my inflammation and I noticed more acne on my arms and torso than usual (I don’t use soap on my face). I didn’t notice any fading of dark spots or scars after several weeks of use, either.While I like the moisturizing qualities of this soap and the fact that it is manufactured in the United States, the smell and the acne-inducing tendency are big negatives for me. I certainly wouldn’t want to pay almost $7/bar, which is the unit cost when you’re charged almost $14 for the two pack.

The label says this is a total of 8 ounces but my bars were small in the box so I weighed it on a KD-8000 scale and they are 7.15 ounces total. Truth in labeling matters. The soap itself works well and is moisturizing. It has swirls from the natural turmeric color. It cleaned my hands and body's skin well. I did not use it as a facial cleanser.

I use another version of turmeric soap made by this company, so I wanted to see how this one compares. It has an OK natural scent, which I assume comes from the ingredients, and not from any added fragrance, which I appreciate. It's a marbled soap of average size, and makes a nice thick creamy lather, however, I found that it wasn't very hydrating, and my skin felt a little dry and rough, although I felt really clean. The other version of soap I use from this company has a nicer smell, and is very moisturizing, which may be due to having goat milk as an ingredient, which this soap does not have, or at least it's not listed. Speaking of ingredients, I wish that the manufacturer would provide a complete list of ingredients, which I can't find anywhere. I'll stick with the other turmeric soap made by this company that I'm currently using because I absolutely love it, and it's hard to beat.

This turmeric cleansing bar has good ingredients (turmeric, aloe vera, olive and coconut oils, and green tea), which are very beneficial for the skin. My skin feels very clean and soft after using it. I've been using it for a few weeks and the skin on my face is beginning to look better. I noticed this the other morning and wondered if is was this soap or the collagen i began taking, or makybe a combination of both.
