I usually buy pottery barn backpacks as I like the thickness and durability. This can totally compare! This is well made, thicker lining and nice cushion on shoulder straps.

I am a veteran kindergarten teacher and have seen many backpacks come through my room over the years. My daughter is starting in kindergarten this fall, so I knew exactly what I wanted in a backpack. This backpack had everything on my list:-water bottle side pockets...bonus that there is one on each side, one for a water bottle and the other for a snack.- main zipper pocket with a separate "sleeve" inside for a folder or library book. A folder can fit in this 15 inch backpack perfectly without being bent and with plenty of space left over.-main zipper pocket big enough for lunch box AND jacket.- smaller zipper pocket for mittens and a hat.-chest strap.-super cute print (we love llamas)This even has an extra pocket that I don't yet have a purpose for as well as a little coin pouch which she says will hold her chapstick.The only thing that could be improved is the black cord to pull the zippers. It should be some coordinating color instead of black. :)Overall, absolutely perfect!PS we tried the 17 inch first and it was too big. 15 inch is perfect. Seems bigger than the 15 inch Wildkin backpack that we also tried.

My daughter is in kindergarten and this backpack fits perfectly its durable and made from Really good materials! It fits my 5 year old perfectly and she loves it!
