Very accurate temp control
Update, 1 yr later:Absolutely 5 stars. This grill has done what my previous pellet grills could not do, and did it for $400 less than those top brands cost.I have owned 2 Pit Boss, 1 Oklahoma Joe.1st Pit boss electronics failed in 13 months of use. Warranty replaced it.2nd Pit Boss failed in 8 months, surprise leak in cover. Electronic components stopped working.Okie Joe electronics failed and could not determine which parts were bad.In all 3 of these, water and moisture were primary cause of failure. I have no way to store it except on an open deck and heavy grill cover. Two of the failures root cause is from the grill cover failing and allowing grill to get wet.The Recteq has worked flawlessly the entire time. I keep continuous check on grill cover to spot any leak. The recent tropical storm Ophelia that came thru blew my cover off during the storm, soaking the outside of the grill.I allowed it to dry for 2 weeks, cleaned up ash pot and surrounding area of ash and stuck debris. This grill is designed so well the pellets left in the auger tube did not get wet and turn into a solidified mass preventing the auger from turning.I fired up the grill. It took a while for the igniter to get hot enough to start the pellets burning, but it did.I am so impressed with this grill and how it was battered by hurricane force winds and rain, but once it was dried out it works just as good as the first time I used it. All those big name EXPENSIVE grills I wasted my money on couldn't claim this kind of reliability.I am a mechanical design engineer with 5 patents. I have an elevated appreciation for exceptional quality of design. The engineering team at Recteq have my absolute admiration and loyalty. This story says it all.If you can keep yours in a building protected from the weather, it will probably last you many years.Pros:- Once it is preheated, it maintains the temp you set it to very well.- The lid opens fully so you have 100% top down access to your food being cooked.- Perfect size for 2 to 4 people, yet enough space to smoke two or three pork shoulders at once.- Metal parts are made of stainless steel. This adds much more longevity overall.- Design functionality leaves very little ash behind when done cooking.Cons:- No pellet reservoir dump feature. You have to scoop out unused pellets for long term storage. This isn't a game breaker but is a feature I highly value.- No access to the auger chute to unjam degraded pellets (that stayed in chute too long, swelled and clogged the chute).- No function to drain off excess grease and oil drippings. That falls onto heat shield and ignites if excessive.- Ventilation ports are too large. They need to be smaller or not as many. Generated smoke leaves the grilling chamber too fast. ( I will cover some of them or make the added cover adjustable so I can regulate how well the chamber holds smoke.)Overall, its a great low volume pellet grill perfect for a family of 4. And for couples and single users. The freedom of air flow of the grill chamber needs work if I could make design recommendations to the manufacturer. The chamber has too much oxygen coming in, causing grease fire flare up.If you are a good handyman\woman, get some sheet metal and cover some of the vents in the cover. Then it will keep enough smoke inside to prevent the grease flare ups from burning out of control and burning your food.

Can't believe the quality for this price!
The Bullseye is flat-out awesome. It holds the temperature to within 5 degrees, even when it was below zero weather a few weeks ago! My previous pellet grill was a complete joke in comparison. The flavor is amazing, and I can't believe the quality and consistency of how it cooks and smokes! I have used it a ton, as it heats up quickly and cooks to perfection, adding that smoked flavor to everything I grill, yet still acting like a grill. I've become a "brand ambassador" (if only in my head) to anyone I know contemplating a purchase. For this price point, I am incredibly impressed and love this grill/smoker!If you're even thinking about buying a pellet smoker, the Bullseye is worth every penny and is the perfect choice for anyone for a family, not an army!

I like the way it cooks, but it isn't reliable.
It was a mess to put together took two of us (70's +) you may want to contract with the kid next door to help you with that chore. It worked quite nicely the first 3 - 4 times. I cleaned out the ash as instructed after 3-5 uses right after i bought it and it won't light (April 2023). Customer service walked me thru the diagnostics very helpful, ran it / me thru all the diagnostics along with a little coaching, seems to be working fine now. Roast chicken tonight. One Year later:2nd time cleaning out the ash (April 2024) and it's quit working again, Customer Service talked me thru the diagnostics again, and it lit, but later when i trned it on it wouldn’t light. Great machine when it works, but it’s not reliable.now i find auger motor is not working or it's the control pannel. Wait since April to try and get it fixed, and many weeks now to get the parts.Going back to a Weber Kettle, I know how to make fire and smoke. Webber Kettle work evey time on time.

Good Smoker for my First
So far this thing has been great. I love the flavor from the smoke and it gets hot enough to cook chicken breast in 20 minutes. It's as simple as you can get for a smoker and a first-time smoker owner I appreciated that. I prefer two separate temperature gauge devices for the grill and meat, so I bought a separate meat gauge. It is a great product I do recommend.

Arrived ahead of schedule!
I've only had this smoker for a week and have used it once. I do have some experience with smokers so will make a couple of comments. The assembly was fairly easy and instructions were easy to follow. At one point about halfway into assembly it appeared that a part was missing. after i completed assembly without the missing part i discovered that the box had a false bottom which contained the missing part. I nearly threw it out with the cardboard box. On the break in run I let it run for several minutes and it did not ignite. After further reading of the manual I learned that you may need to put some pellets in the burn pot. After doing that it fired up and worked as expected. I feel like it used more pellets than expected but I guess time will tell on that. I'm giving it four stars only because I haven't used it enough yet to be a fair judge. Maybe I'll come back later and change that.

Great Pellet Grill
Works great, smoke meat, sear steaks, cook pizza on riot mode, can’t complain. There are certain times where the heat will climb really fast and does not regulate properly while on the low setting. I have experimented and it seems that the pellets get humid in my climate and this may cause the temp swings. Keep your pellets dry! Other than that this things great! Would buy again.

Junk
Won't light up half the time, and the genius that built it forgot washers attaching the bowl to the hopper. Updated to 3 stars do to great customer support. Problem is not solved yet, but I'm sure it will be. I'll update again when fixed
