The frog is made out of solid wooden piece. I use it at my music class with toddlers and little kids. It is light enough for them to pick up but sturdy to withstand the rough handling of their tiny hands. The croaking sound is clear and loud. Overall a great product.

We bought this for our 8yr old son to use at a softball game. It ended up being a hit. It is little but loud. Not only for he use it for the "croaking" sound, but he drummed on the nose and it was perfect to join the others around him.
