Impressed with the quality!
This is an incredibly nice, small, sturdy ball head that fits perfectly on top of my Sirui P-326 Carbon Fiber Monopod.I removed the wide top plate on the monopod, for better alignment between the monopod and the ball head unit. The single knob of the ball head adjusts very smoothly and easily providing just enough friction even for a heavy camera and lens. The 25mm deep quick release is perfectly compatible with my Arca Swiss 50mm plates. I keep one plate on my Sony a77ii camera, and another plate on my Sigma 50-500mm OS lens. The narrow 39mm plate furnished with the Karafuto ball head I keep attached to a Mefoto handle knob so I can use my monopod as a walking stick.Very highly recommended!!!!!Update:Like this ball head so much that I Just bought another one to replace the more complicated and larger ball head on my Mefoto Roadtrip aluminum tripod! It is much sturdier than advertised, and I suspect it will support much more weight than 5kg (or 6kg as stated on box).

Solid no frills performer
Solid no frills performer, does the job and would recommend for infrequent user. If you want a piece of gear to use often this is not the best choice. I chose it for size, cost and to go with a compact style tripod, for that use it is good.

Super high-quality at a low price
RRS (Really Right Stuff) Makes some of the nicest ball heads on the planet and their BH-25 is the model for this excellent copy. RRS sells their Made in USA BH-25 for about $150.Fotobetter manufactures their LBH-25 in China which dramatically reduces the cost while still maintaining high quality. You can purchase six of these for the price of one RRS BH-25.All my camera gear is professional quality with brands like Cannon, Kirk, RRS, Wimberley, etc. In fact you can see that I installed a Wimberley plate in place of the short plate that comes with this ball head.By trade I’m an electrician and I needed a light weight ball head to support my line level laser (which weighs 1.0 lb). The RRS model would have been my first choice except for the price & the rough and dirty conditions in which we sometimes work. The Fotobetter product is a good fit because if it gets banged around I’m not going to feel too badly. It is surprisingly well-made, nicely finished and tightly assembled. It comes with a very tiny camera plate which I immediately replaced with a much longer Wimberley plate (Amazon sells these as well as other copies of the Arca-Swiss pattern). If you plan to support a small camera or if you want to use it to hold a phone clamp it’s a great fit. I would be hesitant to put a heavy dSLR body and large lens on such a small ball head but it’s perfect for a small mirrorless camera and a lightweight travel tripod. All in all a nicely made product at a surprisingly low price. I don’t think you can go wrong with this item unless you try to use it to support something too heavy.Highly recommend.

Did not include bushing reducer
While this appears to be a decent mini ballhead tripod head, it didn't include the 3/8"-1/4" bushing reducer that it said it would come with, as a result i couldnt use it

Extremely happy ! Tremendous value for low cost.
I am an extremely happy mirrorless shooter now. There's so many good things to say about this ball head that I'll try to keep it short by summarizing. Before I go into the goodies, let me recommend you to tighten the allen bolt that connects the clamp to the ball head. It was slightly loose, which means it might affect your compositions or long exposures.1) Remember to tighten the allen bolt? With the ball tightened, tightening the allen bolt on the clamp DIDN'T EVEN MOVE the ball head! Wow, that is one strong ball head.2) Tightening the ball head doesn't shift the ball head in the slightest. Have you ever been so frustrated with other ball heads when the composition shifts as you tighten the ball head? I have and it's not fun when doing macro shots.3) With my a6000 + Sony 12-24 lens (the heaviest lens I have), the ball head didn't creep nor did it move when I push on the camera.4) the clamp is JUST wide enough for the L-plate.5) the ball head lever can ratchet, allowing me to easily tighten the ball head by only pulling the lever towards me, instead of pulling and pushing on a non-ratcheting lever.6) the ball head is so compact that I can finally fold my tripod legs over it.7) it's light. Hiking should be easier compared to a heavier, bulkier ball head.

Excellent little arca compatible ball head
An excellent little ball head, lightweight, robust and with an arca compatible clamp, offered at a bargain price.Only glitch is that it is essential to really tighten the bolt that attaches the clamp to the ball head.I did not, the bolt worked its way free and was lost. Unfortunately, the supplier does not appear interested in selling spare parts separately, so the head is now useless.I subsequently found a compatible replacement screw at Home Depot, full marks to them for a great selection and the instructions to select the right item. Also good on Kakaphoto for using standard screws.Am restoring the lost star in recognoition.

Great design but base is a tad lose...
Great ball head if you don’t mind a lose pan base. I love the look and feel of the ball head and how small it is. The arcaswis mount is pretty gray for being so small. The biggest down side is that the panning plate at the bottom of the ball head is lose and no matter how much I torque it down there’s always a little play. I dot a lot of bracketing shot in my line of work so I ended up going back to my old ball head after two shoots with this one.I wanted to like this ball head more I love the design but sadly I can work with the lose base if it wasn’t for that I’d be happy to use it again.

Missing Part - 3/8” to 1/4” thread adapter for base
Great product but missing one critical piece, the 3/8” to 1/4” thread adapter for the base. This is given its own picture in the product description. No paper with itemized part list either. How can I request this adapter? Nice build and quality.
