They came as described, work very well with our boat pole. Holds the pole very secure.

Appears to be good quality, with a hearty finish and strong holding power. I thought about subtracting one star because it would have been nice to have received mounting screws...then again, the manufacturer doesn't know what type of mounting hardware a person is going to need (e.g. wood screws, machine screws).

These are way too stiff for my needs. It is almost impossible to deflect the clips.
I am not sure if the material is too thick or just the wrong grade. With all my might I could only deflect / open the clip a very small amount. No way I could use these for an anchor light pole.I had to return them.

Small Not the Size Indicated
Although these boat hooks are very well made and rather stiff, the size specified on the information page is incorrect. If, indeed, the large gap on the small hook were 0.71" with a bottom gap of 0.61", a 0.75" diameter tube should fit quite snuggly in the hooks. A 0.75" diameter tube was very, very loose. I have misplaced my calipers so I cannot advise as to what the actual dimensions are.
