Shubb is the BEST.
My sone recently took up banjo, and I didn't want to waste money on a junk capo.Shubb is the best capo on the market no matter what stringed instrument you play.Buy it. Shubb quality is second to none. There are none better.

Perfect for tenor ukulele
Perfect for my Gretsch G9120 tenor ukulele. The Keyser quick-change capo that I use for my other ukes didn’t really fit my Gretsch tenor properly (too small/tight for it). After doing some research, I heeded the advice of other tenor uke players and got this Shubb C5 capo. Extremely easy to use, stays put, and even reduces fret buzzing that was happening with my Keyser. Well worth the money.

The best capo I've ever had
I have over 45 years of experience in guitar and banjo and have tried almost all kinds of capos. But I have never ever had a capo that is gentle on the strings and does not cause detuning issues-- until I got the Shubb capo. No regrets. Will buy another one.

It's a good capo
Hold the strings down and doesn't mark up your instrument...seems well made. Everything you need in a banjo capo.

Wonderful Banjo Capo!
I am a Shubb fan and have been for a long time. Several years ago I bought a Shubb guitar capo and liked it so much that I bought 2 more to keep in the cases of my other 6-string acoustics. Since then I have bought a Shubb 12-string guitar capo, identical to the 6-string version but with a wider bar for the neck. This Shubb banjo capo is of the same excellent quality as my other capos. It's just got a short bar because of the narrow banjo neck. With these Shubb capos you know what you're getting and if I ever need another capo, it will be a Shubb. Well made and works everytime without undue adjustment or bulk. The Shubb banjo capo is perfect as is for a 4-string tenor or plectrum banjo. For a 5-string banjo, you'll need either railroad spikes or a sliding 5th string capo. I have the sliding variety, a Shubb - given my review, this should come as no surprise.

Really nice capo
Easy to use and adjusted to keep the strings from going sharp on ya.

Well constructed, great design, almost flawless...
This capo is well constructed and fits perfectly onto the neck of my banjo, even onto the part where the fifth string is located. The only reason I gave this product four stars rather than five is because it is very difficult to move it to a different fret quickly in the middle of a song because of how it attaches. Because of this fact, I would like to give it a 4.5/5, but since that is not possible, I will leave the rating at a four. Overall, I am quite pleased with it.

Capo works great, no buzzing, nice tight fit
I got this capo for my mandolin because the last capo didn't work very well, and the strings buzzed. This capo, although more pricey, definitely solved that problem and fits nice and tight (customizable). The hardware is great quality, and you can tell by the weight that this is the real deal. The one negative, though, is that it is hard to get your finger around the capo and onto the first fret.
