Before using Follixil, I tried Rogaine foam and liquid, and Kirkland foam and liquid.. now because I HATE the sticky, oily tangled mess that the liquid formulations always leave my hair (I have long hair for a male, shoulder length) I have settled on using the foams since they tend to leave your hair less messy.. HOWEVER, having long hair, foam is WAY too hard to apply without most of it getting wasted by getting all over my hair and not my scalp!This is where Follixil shines.. their liquid spray formula is, right out of the box, significantly less greasy than the liquid formulations of either of the two most popular brands (Rogaine and Kirkland). It is AT LEAST as non-greasy as my former method described above, and the spray applicator makes it even more convenient! I still personally prefer to pour it into a dropper bottle for precision of application (I try my best to only apply it directly to my scalp and this makes it easier, my dry hair wicks it up like a sponge) however the spray top offers a far more precise application than a foam, while being significantly easier and more convenient to use than a dropper. As far as I know, Follixil is the only non-greasy formula made in a way that would even allow spray or dropper application. THIS IS HUGE. I am honestly grateful to them for putting the love into developing such a formula, and on top of that it contains beneficial ingredients that the others do not.Now I cannot comment on it's efficacy vs other brands, because I honestly can't determine with any certainty the exact extent of Minoxidil's efficacy for me in general since I did not have any long term male pattern baldness when I started using it, I was just experiencing mass shedding, but only occasionally, so I began using it as more of a preventative measure.. therefore any changes it's made for me would not be super super obvious, however I can say that I am confident that the formula is made with quality ingredients and at least contains the correct amount of Minoxidil, just based on the dedication the creator and team seem to have for their product.Tl;dr - I highly recommend Follixil and I recommend it over any other Minoxidil product I've tried *FOR SURE*. It's easy to apply, your hair will be significantly less oily than before, and if there is any lingering residue at all it's nothing a little warm water in the morning can't fix. I love the stuff.Bonus pro tip: if you're prescribed finasteride/propecia, do a Google search for "DIY topical finasteride". You're welcome. ALSO, here's a hot tip for anyone who might be in a pinch in the future and get stuck having to buy another brand of Minoxidil, like from a brick and mortar store.. my usual method of preventing this greasy tangled hair is rather ingenious imo, but it's also very inconvenient. If you're like me and prefer the foam formula but it's too hard to apply, you can empty out the entire bottle of foam into a container, and place that container into hot water to make the foam "melt" back into liquid. Then, you pour the liquid into a regular liquid minoxidil dropper bottle. This works *beautifully* BUT the liquid form foam formula (say that 5 times fast) always solidifies into a chunk at room temperature.. meaning that every time you want to apply it, you have to warm the bottle under hot water to melt it back to liquid. This is a pain in the butt to say the least, but it does do the trick of making the less greasy foam easier to apply especially on longer haired people.

Update: Now 4.5 starsThe manufacturer reached out to me, thinking the bottles I received may have been faulty, since the foam was liquidy. Turns out he was right. He sent me a replacement bottle, and that foam was much foamier and maintained its integrity much better than the first set of bottles. I am becoming something of a minoxidil expert (not a claim to fame I ever wanted to have), and I am seeing a benefit to the "soapy" texture of this one. A little background: I apply minoxidil to my whole head, because I'm a female and have/had lost at least half the volume of my already-very-fine hair. This process takes a LOT longer than applying it to one bald patch because I have to make loads of parts and my hair is longish and curlywavykinky, so it tends to be hard to separate. The reason I point that out is because this "soapier" variety (as distinct from the dryer foams and wetter liquids I use) spreads pretty well as compared to a dry foam but doesn't stay wet forever like a liquid, and it does not make my hair look as greasy. All that said, I use way more of this product (and the others) than most people do, since I need to spread it across my entire scalp (and some of it absorbs into the hair itself), but it's a price I'm willing to pay to regain some of my hair. I actually rotate through 3 different types of products with 5% minoxidil - the dry foam, which makes it hard to tell where you've been and takes me ~1/2 hour to apply but serves as sort of a styling product and gives the hair body; this soapier, more easily spreadable foam that might take me, say, 15 mins to apply; and the liquid stuff, which I put in an applicator bottle. That stuff takes less than 5 minutes to apply, but it leaves my hair looking greasy for 8+ hours, and I use a ton of it, in exchange for the speed and convenience. I provide all this info, so you can understand some of the options out there (if you don't already know) and where this one fits in. It definitely has its place. I also appreciate the manufacturer working with me to resolve my issues.Original review:I just received this and used it today. I ordered the foam, and what I received is packaged in foam pump bottles. However, what comes out is basically a liquid. It has no structure at all and leaked on the floor twice. You cannot control it like a foam. You can only squirt it directly on your head and feel it run down before you can even get your fingers in the vicinity. Additionally, the liquid has a *very* soapy consistency. I have previously used Kirkland and Keranique foams, so I know what a minoxidil foam is supposed to look and feel like. Now I am dubious that this product will work, and I'm going to be devastated if it undoes all the growth I've gotten over the last many months of daily use. I am giving it 2 stars at this point, instead of 1, in the hope that it works. But I don't trust it. I may buy a brand I trust and alternate days, in the hopes my hair doesn't start falling out if this is a sham. If I feel like it works, I'll upgrade to 3 stars, but for now, it is not all what I expected.

These are my results after 3 months of use. So far I do see some definite improvement. It can be a little difficult to judge the improvement though because I've let my hair grow too, so some of the thickness I see is just from that, but there's definitely more hair on the top of my head.I think the real test will be how well it looks after 6 months and a year. I will be sure to update this review in April and October with my progress at that point as well to see if it continues to improve.

Me parece q ayudando un poco apenas llevo un mes usándolo y aunq dice q son 3 meses de refill a mi solo me duró un mes todos los frascos es una espuma y para q pueda rendir en toda la cabeza y usarlo dls veces al día cada frasco dura una semana .. quizás si se usan interdiario podría durar el mes o un poquito más peor los 3 meses no lo dura a menos q solo lo uses en un pequeño espacio ..

It took about a month to see results . I was almost ready to give up, so I stopped using it for nearly 2 weeks !!! Then , I begin to see hair growing where I had none ! I'm on a medication that causes Alopecia ( massive hair loss in females ) . In spite of the drug , I am growing a thick head of hair !!! This product really works to my amazement ! I highly recommend this product to all those who have tried everything else with no luck ! Try this product ....it works for me !
