Almost every commercial gym I go to has a long rope, but finding one this length (and affordable at that) online wasn't happening. I wasn't sure about the hook-type handle vs rope at first, but now I'd pick these over any rope. After 6 months of heavy use, there is a tear starting on the longer set which I included in the picture, but it's worth buying another set! Maybe just a suggestion to the owner to double what stitching is there or something? Love it!!

Just my short one is defected, but seller is willing to exchange and that is the plus. And I did send the replacement pair off to the store but 3 days still not to hear from shop yet, I just do not want Amazon to charge me again..

I tried the shorter one on a cable machine with 50 lbs loaded. It tore out of the stitching (like the photo another reviewer posted) and 50 lbs came crashing down. These are poorly made and obviously not very good quality control. If you buy these, which I wouldn't recommend, hook them to something stationary first and pull to see if they break. Even if they hold they could let go in the future and hurt you.

I am on my second pair of these straps. The idea of having an extended range of motion is appealing to me, so I decided to purchase. The first use of these was on triceps extension, on a 50-lb weight stack. They seemed to perform fine. The second use was on a standing face pull/standing row. This was at 70-lb on the stack. They did not survive, and tore completely at the seams. I was using the 38-inch set for this.When I got my replacement, I decided to not exceed 60-lb on the weight stack. Using the 28-inch attachment, I performed triceps extensions. On the first rep, the seams began to tear.If there is a weight limit on the straps, it is not shared with the consumer. I really wanted to like these straps, because they are comfortable.

Los materiales son muy buenos, pero son un total desperdicio por la pésima calidad de manufactura. Las costuras que deben sostener el extremo del loop unido solo lo tocan en la orilla en lugar de estar debajo de los 4 lados y la cruz de costura, y al menor peso aplicado se deshilacha y se suelta de debajo del parche gris de "refuerzo". Una porquería. Le doy una estrella porque no me permite mandar la reseña con cero.
