Surprised!
Trying to eat right is hard. I'm always looking for pain free ways to eat healthier foods. I say pain free because a lot of healthier foods don't taste very good. It pains me to eat them. I'm not sure if this pasta is actually healthier but I like that it only has one ingredient and that it's packed with fiber. This review is for:GoodWheat Single Ingredient Wheat Pasta, 4x the Fiber, 9g Protein, Fettuccine - 12 oz (340 g) [Pack of 3]Three boxes arrived, encased in another box. No damage, no worries there. The pasta in the box looks a little different than regular pasta-color wise. Once cooked, I couldn't tell any difference. This fettucine looked normal, it tasted normal and it was more filling than normal. Pain free!I've only tried it with marinara sauce and meatballs, so far. Based on that experience, though, I bet this would be just lovely with fresh native tomatoes, fresh basil and some EVOO.The price seems a bit high to me, currently $19.99 for three 12 ounce boxes though I do appreciate that producing quality products takes time and money. I will decide whether or not to buy more after I finish the last box.

This May Be my New Favorite Noodle
7.26.22~ My fave noodle dish is cold sesame with peanut sauce. But even with all the sesame oil, after a day in the fridge, you need more.'Good Wheat' Fettucine noodles didn't stick, glob or need more oil.Oh, and the Flavor? Tastes like regular noodles but better.Maybe it's the chewy texture like really good bread, or a New York bagel.Maybe it's the substantial way it fills you up with half the portion but I'm in Love.Tried 'Good Wheat' penne first so already had the learning curve down.Add as much water as possible to a large pot. Bring to boil & add pasta. Then cook at a simmer boil (4-5 out of 10) for about 12-15 min. (Taste at 12 min.)The trick is to rinse twice in cold water. Gives best results with hot or cold dish. Also tried the fettuccini with a pomodoro.Chopped tomatoes (fresh or can) & garlic sweated on a low heat with olive oil S&P.You sweat the mixture as long as it takes to cook pasta. Add fresh basil at end & toss. It's our easy weekday "I'm starving but want real food" meal & 'Good Wheat' was a Champ. This is definitely more expensive than other store-bought options. However, the other options just aren't as satisfying.Plus if you factor that the fiber packed portions make you want to eat half, not so bad.Would easily buy this by 6pk. Just too good to risk running out.

Healthy with a very standard flavor
In the past I have had bad experiences with high fiber, high protein, high vitamin, and other so called "healthy", so I approached this fettucine with a little trepidation.Luckily, this GoodWheat pasts is pretty good. There is nothing strange about the flavor and the texture is on par with a lot of standard, store bought pastas. That being said, as a bit of a pasta snob, this is a passable fettucine that is going to be an enjoyable and healthier compliment to your favorite sauce. It will not, however, compete the really premium pasta that is often imported directly from the old world.Other things to be aware of is that the cooking time might be longer than you are used to.I personally found these noodles need to cook the maximum time just to get an al dente pasta at the end.I also found it really, really benefits from salted cooking water, if that is an option your diet can support.Ultimately, I will finish this pasta because the taste and texture are decent. At the same time, this would not be my favorite new pasta if I was basing it on taste and texture alone.Consequently, when you are prioritizing the nutritional profile of your pasta, this is the one to get, as this particular fettucine offers a really great balance of flavor and nutrition.

Looks like regular pasta, tastes like wheat
This pasta looks like regular pasta but has that texture that wheat pasta has. I'm guessing the extra fiber in the pasta gives it that more wheat pasta like mouth feel. That being said it tasted like good wheat pasta and with all the added fiber, much healthier than just straight regular pasta. We boiled it for 13 minutes and it still needed a couple minutes to get to al dante. The kids who have balked at some of the wheat pastas we've tried before ate this up with no issues. The cost of this is quite a bit more at almost 3x the cost of the other wheat pasta we buy but as with most good food, you do pay more for good food.Review For:GoodWheat Single Ingredient Wheat Pasta, 4x the Fiber, 9g Protein, Fettuccine - 12 oz (340 g) [Pack of 3] - USA Farm Grown, Non-GMO Verified, Al Dente Perfection
