My Go-To Lip Balm: Burt's Bees Sun Care Lip Balm
I have to start by saying that Burt's Bees Lip Balm is hands down the best lip balm I've ever used. I think my wife and girls are literally addicted to it.They really like the sun protection it offers, and living in a very dry climate in Utah it really help with chapped lips, keeping them moist and preventing peeling and cracking. What's even better is that I can easily stock up on Burt's Bees Sun Care Lip Balm thanks to the fantastic pricing on Amazon. Compared to local stores, Amazon offers much better deals, making it incredibly convenient to purchase the 3-pack, or even the 10-pack. My girls love finding this lip balm in their stockings during the holidays or tucked into their Easter baskets. In fact, it's become a go-to gift for any occasion!I don't use it anywhere near as much as my wife and daughters, but when I do start to have cracking and peeling lips becuse I've been slacking on my water intake, I turn to Burt Bees as well. I'm a beekpper so I really like the igredients, including beeswax and coconut oil, provide long-lasting hydration and leave my lips feeling soft and smooth all day long.Overall, It's effective and affordable, and whether you're heading to the beach, hitting the slopes, or just need everyday lip care, this product is a must-have in your pocket/purse.

Terrible value; don’t waste your money
The reason for the purchase of this 3-pack was solely to get the Sienna Rose color that I wanted to use for an upcoming trip for both lips and as a cheek blush. The Siena Rose was hard and unspreadable. Total waste. Into the trash it went. The lighter pink one has so much titanium dioxide in it, it is like a pale high opacity pink worn in the 60’s. No thank you.And then the 3rd tube is a clear, lip balm…which is fine but who needs another clear, lip balm? That’s not why I bought this 3-pack.I would have returned it but I did not try these as I was saving them for a trip which was beyond the return date. With such a known brand as Burt’s Bees, I didn’t think I would have to.So, if you do buy this, try all colors out to make sure they are good and do so right away.

Some unspreadable.
Two of the three lip stains were fine and smooth. But one, sienna rose, was hard unspreadable wax. Not sure if this was a rarity, or that particular color.

Sticky
The two chapsticks that have the SPF30 in them are incredibly sticky. They do NOT glide across your lips like regular chapstick. It easily gets stuck on one area of your lip and refuses to move. If it does move, it takes more force than it should AND it clumps up on your lip. You have to smooth the clumps out with your finger. You can hardly even rub your lips together to smooth it out because it is so sticky. Other than the stickiness of the chapstick, it works just fine. Both of the SPF30 chapsticks add color to your lips and protect them from the sun. The aloe chapstick is probably the best out of this pack. It goes on smoothly and feels quite refreshing. It definitely can help with sunburnt lips.

Disappointed in product
One of the 3 tubes was not usable as it was hard as a rock. 1 tube more solid than it should be, but usable and the other one was fine. The over boxing of the product was concerning, Way too much cardboard to deliver 3 small tubes of balm. Blister pack would have been more suitable. Probably will not reorder this brand again.

Great product. Over packaged.
Burt's Bees is a great product. Would have liked 3 non-flavored. If you are giving someone all 3 then the packaging is nice, very sturdy and hefty, but you know, where does it end up- in the landfill. I got this to gift to 3 different people so right away the packaging was too much. I would have been happy with individual soft paper wrapping. Burt's Bees name sort of seems to represent care for the environment and this beautiful packaging that you cannot recycle seems to be against what I thought BB brand wants to represent.

UPDATE: Won't spread & smells foul = Reformulation/Storage issues???
UPDATE:First pack purchased was *amazing* so I bought more as gifts BUT when tried one of the new packs, the Sienna Rose smelled foul and won't spread...to the point that application is almost impossible...like trying to apply a child's crayon to your lips.More importantly, I bought these for the sun protection and that lack of spread-ability and clumping likely affects the SPF (zinc only works as sun block if you can get it to form a uniform layer, otherwise it's just diaper cream).Picture shows different tubes -- unspreadable new version on top and good old version below.Really sad because I was looking to give these as gifts. :(The Good:Sienna Rose is a beautiful color and love that it's a mineral sunscreen lip balm with 30SPF!!!The Bad:Major gripe is that the "After Sun Soother" Aloe balm contains Menthol, which is a highly sensitizing ingredient for many lips (including mine)...so basically will do the opposite of intended purpose. The Eh:Wild Peony is a total shimmer, shimmer stick -- great if you're going for the mid-90s vibe but not an everyday staple.
