Saves My Fingers!
I wish I had come across these years ago! These are wonderful at protecting my fingers when I need to iron something while holding it down. These thimbles aren't completely immune to heat of course, but are protective enough that I haven't come close to sacrificing my fingers. The only thing that I don't like about them is that they are HUGE. I expected this, as I have very small hands and very skinny fingers, but they're large enough to fall off if I'm not paying close enough attention. That said, the large size makes them easy to slip on and off. Overall, I'm very pleased!!

Works for its purpose
These are thinner that I expected but they do save my fingers from steam burns.

Excellent for hand embroidery
I do a lot of hand embroidery, I have a habit of poking the side of my middle finger with the eye of the needle when I am working on an intense piece of work or I have a deadline so am stitching for several hours at a time over a few days. It always seems that once I poke that spot on my middle finger I keep re-poking it and stitching becomes quite painful.I don't like thimbles in general, but I will use one once I poke the finger. :-) I've never found one that doesn't drive me crazy until I tried these thermal thimbles. I've worked on two intense projects since buying these thimbles and as soon as I poke the finger I put one of these thimbles on and I haven't yet had a problem with the finger getting sore and infected. I haven't had the eye of the needle pierce the thimble material, either. I get used to these thimbles fairly quickly especially considering the painful alternative. They don't impede my stitching.I still don't use a thimble until I have to, but these have made my stitching life so much easier. I highly recommend them.

Work so well should and even a guy might benefit from them
Worked with hot glue and they worked. Do wish thimble manufactures would opt for dialing the size back a bit. Fell off my fingers as larger than expected. I am not a petite person by any means with averaged size fingers with arthritis so loose on me. I might try putting double face tape on fingers so thimbles will stick. Would I suggest fir a friend? Yes

Where have these thimbles been all my life?
Great protection for 3 fingers when ironing something while holding it down (think hems, etc). They don't offer total immunity to heat so I would not touch them with a hot iron, but they give enough protection to hold the fabric in place while the point of the iron is very close.in terms of sizing, I wear women's glove size 8-8 1/2 and two of the fingers fit perfectly and one is slightly tight but wearable.I am immediately ordering another set!

I think small and medium hands will be very happy with these
I really wasn't expecting much from these but they turned out to be quite effective against the heat. I use them to handle hot glue with my fingers. I just couldn't stand the burns and blisters anymore. I wasn't expecting them to work as well as they do. You feel warmth through them but not heat. The 3 sizes worked well for me. My fingers are small so I used the smallest on my index finger and the medium on my thumb. The larger one intended for most thumbs was too big for me. I think small and medium hands will be very happy with these. Large hands might find they fit a little snug but if you're not working for hours on end, it should do the job.

So happy to find thimbles for hot stuff
I like the 3 different sizes. Before I saw these on a quilting video, I did not know such a thing existed. Hooray! They are useful for other purposes also, like turning pages, moving fabric around.

May be better solutions.
These are OK although feel like the tips of three rubber gloves so maybe a bit expensive for what they are. Two of the thimbles fit ok on my thumb and forefinger but the third one is a bit tight and leaves a little pocket at the end which is awkward. Maybe it's my technique when ironing seams but I still managed to scald other fingers without the thimbles but maybe it's because they feel a bit odd and so I end up using the unprotected fingers to do the work. It's kind of like when you have a plaster on your finger and it feels weird so you avoid using it. Also my iron does give off a good deal of steam.

This is a Can't-Do-Without Must-Have
These were recommended by a sewist online and they are fantastic for ironing into little corners. I was fed up with getting steam burns or playing chicken with the steam burst. These finger protectors really do protect the fingers and thumb. Of course, you still have to pay attention and be careful but these do an excellent job of protecting and you get better ironing results, as well.

Just right
Product is just what I was looking for. They're comfortable and easy to get on, they are also 3 different size so you can get the right size for you. The rubber is thick enough to protect your thumb but not too thick that you can't feel.

These have been so helpful for me, I hand ...
These have been so helpful for me, I hand stitch hessian and coffee sacks for my hobby and recently half way through covering some car seats I found my fingers got very sore. I purchased these to help protect my fingers and they worked perfectly.
