Good read
I have read the other books by Rachel McLean and have to say this book is as good. Love the new characters. Can't wait to read the next one.

Great start
Great start to another Rachel McLean series. Looking forward to the next book already. Good to see Mo included in the characters in this novel with him transferred North of the border. Some interesting challenges that Rachel took on with this series and she has met them with this first book and good research shines through.

Good Start
I absolutely love the Dorset Series and this one began well but I was getting fed up with constant references to Jade's dead husband, on and on. I get the character is troubled but we didn't need so much of it. Also, the other team members should know the circumstances so they can accommodate the situation, it helps to know what one's colleagues are dealing with in their lives, in order to understand their actions. Was a little protracted, needs to be as tight as the Dorset series, hope the next one will be. It was slower than I usually prefer in crime series, needs a faster pace!I will read the next one, then I'll decide whether to continue or not.

Compelling reading
As with all of Rachel's crime novels, Blood and Money contains characters who are easy to visualise and relate to. The story line is intriguing and local knowledge extensively researched. Looking forward to the next Scottish crime novel.

Now we head to Scotland!
I have been a fan of all the other series and was delighted to see that you have now decided to head to my neck of the woods.Loved the book and bringing Mo from Birmingham was a great move as it kept some of the familiarity from the others. I look forward to getting to know all the characters in greater detail as the series goes on

A fantastic new series
It says McBride and Tanner but it is so much more than that. Police Scotland (don't let me start on that amalgamation) has set up a new Complex Crime Squad based out of a nameless/soulless business park in the back end of Glasgow.Jade Tanner is a DI with a young son and a head full of 'stuff' she has yet to find a place for. DC Patty has known her for years and, well meaning as she is, this wee Scot would have told her to 'haud her wheesht' and give it a sodding rest.DC Stuart is not as confident as he makes out but he's a clever lad all the same. Then comes the one and only DS Mo Uddin transferring up from Birmingham. Mo is everything, but he has the road system and language to get around before he gets into his stride. No, we don't all speak Gaelic but imagine a Somerset farmer trying to talk to Rab C Nesbitt and you'll get the idea.Petra McBride doesn't quite fit in yet.Time will tell how they well they will all gel.Now the best part. Based mainly around the beautiful area of Loch Lomond I would have read a whole book on the wee gravel beaches and the wildlife. Rachel took me back to a part of my home country that will forever have a happy place in my heart.Oh yea, a rich guy got shot!

A good read
Not sure what McBride adds but Tanned is getting a good team. Two murders are solved and the team is settling in. Further domestic issues with McBride and Tanned are promised. What will book 2 reveal?

More like this please.
An excellent plot . I liked the characters. Author leaves the reader unanswered questions about their personal lives which is important to development of the storyline. Must read book two
