Installed on my 19 Ram Classic. I wanted this tailgate shock (slow release) because I tow a trailer and have had issues in the past with the tailgate slamming down against the trailer jack. It put a few dents and marks in my old truck. (Wasn't too worried because the tailgate was already beat up) I installed this on my new truck to keep that from happening, if the tailgate happens to slip out of my hands. So far looks like it will work perfectly and no more slamming down unexpectedly! We'll see how long it holds up! About a 15min install with watching a video to better understand the directions. The price is ok, not super expensive but also not exactly cheap. All in all I'd recommend this product! The only thing I didn't understand is why the instructions tell you to remove the bump stop inside the bed for the tailgate along with what the cable tie(rubber) actually is for? I kept all the instructions and the cable rubber tie, just incase I figure out what it actually does.
