Wonderful
A lot of good sized peppers - nicely cleaned and in excellent condition. Perfect for stuffing and just delicious. I am seriously bummed that they are currently unavailable and hope that they will be available again soon. I have favorite recipe for Spanish stuffed peppers and this product was perfect. Don’t even try to substitute roasted red peppers - which are delicious in other recipes. Spanish piquillo peppers are there own special thing and there is no substitute.

YUMMY! Reasonable, too!
Captain Fun is not a gourmet. In fact, he has been accused of enjoying Redneck food just as much as the more highly regarded "really special" spendy food. He does know what he likes when tasting something new. We (spouse and CF) were given a jar of Piquillo peppers by a friend who came to our dinner party. The peppers stayed in the pantry for about 8 months largely because we had no prior experience with them and no recipe that called for them. One day, about a month ago, CF was pawing through the fridge gathering up fixin's for a smoked turkey sandwich on white sourdough. The only item missing once all the fixin's were assembled was a tomato. Hmmm. The Piquillo peppers are red....and moist. The jar didn't indicate any fire in the peppers...let's try 'em! Upon removing the first from the jar, it was discovered that they have been carefully cored. They look like a folded red dunce cap. I took a knife, slit the edge, (butterflied it) to open them up so one would lay flat on the sandwich. It took two to cover the sandwich. WOW!! It was love at first bite! It isn't that these had a strong distinctive flavor (at least to me), or that they were hot (they are very mild), but they added a really lush smooth taste and interesting flavor without overpowering the smoked turkey, After that tasting, the peppers in the jar went fast. They were tried on other sandwiches (ham, chicken, and tuna. Also were tried on simple quesadillas (flour tortillas, Kirkland canned chicken, Kraft shredded Mexican cheese mix). Just like when used on the turkey sandwich, the peppers were a nice addition. The Roland Whole Piquillo Peppers were selected and ordered based on the Amazon reviews and are not as silly expensive as the brand in the glass jar. They are definitely equal in taste, flavor, and texture. The peppers are perfectly packed so they come out in one piece without tearing or falling apart. As the saying goes, :Try 'em, you'll like 'em!.

Great flavor and easy to use
I just made my fourth purchase of the four-pack. The first purchase was to see if Bobby Flay was onto something when he kept using piquillo peppers, and the rest were because Bobby Flay was definitely onto something using piquillo peppers. I very much enjoy these to add a sweet and smokey depth of flavor when diced and added to a dish, or stuffed whole with herbs and cheese. There are many peppers in each can, so I use what I want when I open a can and keep the rest covered in a small pyrex bowl until I use them. These piquillo peppers are now a pantry staple and I hope they remain available and reasonably priced.

Didn't know what to expect, but these are GREAT!
I suppose your satisfaction with these canned piquillo peppers will depend on what you want or are expecting. I took a leap of faith, and am glad I did! These peppers are each about 2" long, with the top/stems cut off, roasted and peeled. and packed whole in the can. I took one out and ate it, as is. The flavor was just right; roasted red pepper with just the tiniest bit of spice. The next few, I stuffed with a ready made spinach artichoke dip, and these peppers were a great vehicle for the dip. I'm too lazy, and it's too late to try these in different ways.Maybe $5/can is too much, but if you're looking for beautifully roasted piquillo peppers, these are a bargain! I was just looking for roasted red peppers, and I feel I got more than I expected. These make great appetizers, but also can be used in many different ways.

Nice sweet piquillo peppers
The peppers came right away! The cans were not dented and they had a far out expiration date. We opened a can right away and the peppers were packed perfectly without their heads and without skins and packed as tight as possible in the can. None appeared damaged/torn. I have been rinsing a couple daily and cutting them up into my salad. Very nice sweet taste. I did try a few stuffed with goats cheese and that was good too. Next I will be using them in my paella which I’m certain they will be perfect instead of using red peppers as a substitute. I do highly recommend that when using these peppers, like so many other canned peppers that you rinse the inside and outside, since they are packed in calcium chloride.
