I have fine to coarse hair and this is the only hair oil that my hair absorbs and it doesn’t make my scalp itch most oils make my scalp itch this is the only one that does it there is no scent in my hair just absorbs it like a sponge I love this product I been using it for years now it’s perfection

So I was going to try prose products and wasn’t for the price of it, but this oil was supposed to be one of the ones used in the ingredients for my customization. So I came to lovely amazon to see if I could find it, after reading multiple reviews I was so totally ready to try it.I have super oily scalp, but try to go as long as I can without shampooing my hair because 1) it’s not good for your hair to shampoo every day, and 2) some dumb hair dresser FRIED my hair. But the oiliness isn’t very appealing to the eye, or the nose.I tried this at first by mixing it with my conditioner on the palm of my hand, ran it through my ends and figured hey! I’ll use it on my scalp too.Well let me tell you, this totally did not leave an oily feeling to my hair, I went 4 days without washing it and it was still looking fantastic, no oily look. I only went 4 days because I had my roots touched up so obviously it had to get washed. I’m interested in seeing how long my hair will go after this without a wash, and without a stinky oily smell.Totally recommend

It's a great alternative to coconut. I use it in my hair and it leaves it very shiny and moisturized. The packaging definitely sucks! When I first received the product it was a little colder outside so it was solid which made it very inconvenient to get the product out.

I am glad I found this oil. I use it as a prepoo treatment while dry detangling my high porosity hair. Let me unpack that statement. I detangle my 4ab hair prior to washing by using either the harp or funnel methods. Since my hair is high porosity, I needed an oil that would be beneficial to my hair and keeping it from becoming mushy. Everyone sings the praises of coconut oil but it makes my skin itch to the point that I am hurting myself. Babassu oil is able to penetrate the hair shaft and prevent the over-absorption of water that can be such a problem for high porosity hair. I also use the oil after my hair has been washed and moisturized to seal my ends. Next I would like to try their kokum butter.

Smells like it might be cut with hydrogenated vegetable oil, which is common when purchasing oils. Theyre cut with vegetable oil which can have soy and easily be contaminated with other allergens or cut with coconut oil. It happens often because the texture of "oils" can be like butters and solidify at room temperature and separate and it makes it easier to go rancid. Its a risk you make when purchasing online. Thankfully I'm allergic to coconut oil and not vegetable oil, but the movie theatre popcorn butter smell is unmistakable. I gave three stars because its still usable and the oil does the job. I'll probably add an extra few drop of my essential oil scent to cover the slight buttery smell. I have above average sense of smell I asked half a dozen people if they smelled(they were right next to my hair) the vegetable oil and only one could and they said they wouldnt have noticed if I hadn't pointed it out. Servicable disappointment.

This is a very lightweight oil for my fine low porosity curly hair. I even leave it on my hands instead of washing it off. I've used it on my legs as well...Skin soaks it right up.

I used the amount specified - 1/2 teaspoon. Almost impossible to get out of my medium length hair. Who has time to stand in the shower rinsing your hair for 20 minutes?I would return it, but I’ve already filled one small jar to put in my travel bag and a second small jar to put in my shower.

I dislike having to melt it in hot water to use it.
