Great instrument.
I have fancied an erhu for years and this Christmas I decided to treat myself. I bought this particular model because it is at the lower end of the price range. I was amazed at what a beautiful tone it has, and the fact that it came with a hard case. I have been practicing it now for eleven days and I'm just starting to be able to play most tunes just by ear. There are plenty of videos on YouTube which teach the basics of erhu playing.

ready-to-play out of the box (near nuff)
A nice surprise to find this instrument ready assembled and even strung. It is standing close by now, getting used to the considerably warmer environment in here after a January cruise to get here. And it arrived in 11 days. I gave 4 stars unheard, so I'll add one after we've gotten to know each other better.Very happy so far.EDIT; If you are new to instruments from the Far East, then be careful NOT to cut and discard the cord around the neck. It is an integral part of the erhu. I'm waiting for a replacement right now, when I could have been learning to play.
