Good read, Great info
Let's face it, he did it right....this book is full of insightful recommendations and ideas for the self starter. I remember most his caveat: Don't give the customer too many choices! How often I have seen that good idea not used, and the confusion and frustration of too many items, too many options, too many choices. "With this you get that but you don't get the other thing. If you want to get the other thing, you have to get this and that and the "other" other thing....too many colors, too many fragrances, too much BS! Set up a few categories, with a few choices in each, and Keep It Simple! Rule number 2 for all you knucklheads out there ignoring a paying customer to talk on the phone: The ringing of the cash register takes priority over the ringing of the phone! This is an easy to read, easy to understand, and enjoyable book. I highly recommend to anyone in the service industry (aren't we all, in one way or another?), and to anyone in business, or wanting to start up a business. Hell, I recommend it to anyone, period, the book is full of good ideas about not only business but how to get along and seize opportunites. You can't argue with a billionaire, now, can you?

He seemed like a genuinely good
Very interesting read and gave a lot of insight into both his personal life and his business insights. He seemed like a genuinely good, hard-working guy and gives some great advice for anyone starting a business. He also seems like the kind of good guy who you would want to run a successful, ethical business. Would highly recommend to anyone looking at starting a business or just wanting a good read about an interesting man.

From one Dave to another
Interesting biography of a man who accomplished his dream. His life before Wendy's was most intriguing to me. Dave was passionate and worked his way out of a tough upbringing.

Why Wendy's?
If you ever wondered why Wendy's came online when the burger field was already crowded -- and it succeeded -- you can find out directly from the founder in this easy to read and insightful book. The world needs more leaders like Dave Thomas.

Remarkable Man!
This is the second time I bought this book, it has been years since I read the first one. I am so happy I got another copy since my original book disappeared. I plan on giving it a second reading and taking notes. Dave Thomas was truly a remarkable man! His writing is easily understood and the information on how to deal with people is well worth the effort. Good reading!

Thanks, Dave
As the president of a business, I am always interested in autobigoraphies, or business advice from more experienced and successful leaders. This book contains some of the best advice I have come across. It is very down to earth, has a simple style - but that's Dave's way! As straightforward as the writing, the homespun wisdom and advice is not trendy, it is the type that will hold true in 50 years or 50 years in the past. However, it is NOT common knowledge and I learned many valuable lessons.Read it if you are a CEO or a kitchen manager in a fast food restaraunt - either way you will have more insight into life in general.

Dave Thomas' history
After re-reading "Well Done", Dave's second book, I decided to read "Dave's Way". "Dave's Way" is a well done book that seems to focus on Dave's life and the process for him to successfully create Wendy's. His second book, seems much more of motivational approach. Both are worthwhile reading.

Great book.
This is the one book one needs to read and study from the experiences of Dev, the founder of Wendy's. After every chapter his list of street smart principles may be a ready reckoner for anybody who wants to start his business. Thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

Great book
Great book by a great man but the Edition I got wasn't the same cover as the hardcover one pictured. Not a huge deal just too bad is all. Everyone should read it.

The rise of Dave is absolutely crazy and everyone should definitely read it,though it gets a little boring towards the end but you should definitely read this book to know the drive and fire that Dave had to succeed.
