I purchased the 4’8” ultralight casting 2 piece rod, with the dark brown wood grips, and upon opening the box I was immediately hooked and couldn’t believe how nice looking the rod was for the $40 I paid for it. The Chinese are making rods with JDM style parts, and giving us cheap old bastards a damn good bang for our buck. You won’t find anything that comes close to this rod at your local Walmart or Academy etc. for $40 your lucky to walk out with an over weight cheaply made Uglystik rod, where as you can pick this beautiful rod up off Amazon and get a rod that would be over $100 with JDM styling and parts for the same costs. I got this rod for my 4 year old son, and we put an Zebco Omega Z02 on it, and it’s a match made in heaven for and a deadly little panfish catcher. What else can I say other than it seems very well made, has great and stylish parts and I love the wood grips and reel seat both comfortable and the rod itself is very light in the hand. It’s a great dock rod, and Would probably make a good ice fishing rod also. Just be wary making your purchase, when swapping through the different sizes and actions the style of the rod and how it looks changes often. Amazon really needs to clean up the rods this company is trying to sell and put them all in different listings.

Good price. Decently made. Bought it for length 7'. Perfect for Penn ultralight reel I use. As with any rod, be careful, keep it safe, and you will get your money's worth. Don't blame your carelessness on the manufacturer. Don't lift it by the wrong end. Don't step on it. Don't use it for catfishing or striper unless you know what you are doing. Pay attention to your drag and big fish won't snap it. Don't use braided line unless you want to untangle your spinner's mess. Buy a hard rod case for it. Its a great rod with great action for any ultralight lure. The reel keep is of hard ABS plastic and I have had them break if you tighten too hard but this one seems to be a little tougher than my last.

Incredibly sexy and functional rod for the price. I have top name rods and reels this rod really surprised me. I add this to my BFS system and brought in a few sunset smallys. Very sensitive yet tough and aesthetically pleasing. The carbon fiber sections really make it pop and match my Kestral reel.I will add more to my connection.

The rod is great, I really like the look, the sleekness, the split grip, the orange tips and the feel of the rod; But the handle for the reel placement feels just a little to high making some movements uncomfortable. I'm disappointed by the lack of a O-ring above to reel to place your lure or hook, seems like a small thing to add to really make a lot more convenience and was skipped. Overall great rod, if small issues are fixed would easily be a 5/5.

I own the 5’6 spinning rod and I love it so I’m giving the 6’6 a shot. But my only problem is the delivery with them. It is always pushed back and end up waiting longer than expected for my package to arrive which is kinda annoying. Please do better with this.

I got this rod for my ultralight fishing. I paired it with a 1000 reel and 2lb fluorocarbon lines. I plan to use this for trouts in the winter and have been using it for bluegills lately. It’s a blast catching them in ultralight rigs. The rod is very sensitive and you can feel them the moment they bump into the bait. This gives me a good heads up on when to set the hook. I had a great time with this rod and hope to catch some trouts soon.

This rod is the best rod I’ve ever used feels and looks great

Looks like a toy for a child. The rod was not splined correctly. When there is tension on the rod, it twist to one side. Hopefully when I get a chance to use it this, will not be a problem being an ultra light rod.
