The more you're attuned to their culture and mythic storytelling style, the keener your astonishment (and amusement, to be sure), the more you're dazzled by the bold narrative strokes and endless visual and kinetic splendor.The breathtaking RRR immediately became an international-film favorite for me, but this 5 1/2-hour predecessor comes close. The character scheme can be a little confusing for a time. Don't be put off---its stuff-of-legends twistiness is worth watching untangle.

Yes, the story is unbelievable. However, in the grand scheme of a fairy tale genre, it works. Beautiful scenery, sets and costumes, even though cgi.k And, even the extraenous singing and dancing works. Yes, could have watched on streaming but loved it so much wanted to have a copy so if it disappears from streaming will be able to access it

What an epic movie. Awesome epic story. Epic scenes bordering on the laughably unbelievable but still entertaining. This is the Indian version of a Lord of the Rings style storytelling. If you liked LOTR, Game of Thrones, and Red Cliff I and II or even Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, then you gotta check this out. Like Red Cliff, you must see both Bahubali I (The Beginning) AND Bahubali II (The Conclusion) to truly appreciate the depth of the story.

My friend from Hydrabhad told me about these movies and I am glad I watched them. Best ever! The 2nd movie is Waaaay better than the first. The first one just gives you a little taste to what is to come. It is also cool if you know the backstory on how the film was produced. ya, google it. ;)

Love this movie! Never thought I would because Iam not a fan of Bollywood but this hooked me from the first scene. It is a unique epic film with substance. I like the promotion of female strength as well. I advise all to give this movie a try!

I love these movies. I bought the DVD version, it looks great to me. It's obviously a fairy tale, and it's a musical, so for people who don't like either, you probably won't like these; which is a shame because they're beautiful, well made, well written, well acted, well sung, well danced. The fight scenes are great, there are good guys and bad guys, beautiful maidens who are also heroic warriors, no wussy girls requiring rescue. Even the prisoner is preparing for war and retribution, not just sitting and waiting for rescue, although she knows rescue is coming, she's ready to do her share. My only problem is that the discs wouldn't play on my 13 year old TV in the kitchen, so I couldn't cook dinner while watching. Boo-hoo, guess that means I need a new TV! Yaaaayyyy!
