Nature Log Kids (Nature Journals)

This product was something my daughter saw at a book store and I found for a better price on amazon. It came quickly and with no damage. She will be able to use this journal to enhance our adventures. It is simple and easy to use with user friendly entries and colorful directions.

This is an insignificant notebook in black and white with few pictures and facts. I was disappointed, though my 8-year-old grandson was politely grateful. He had wanted a wonderful journal offered at the Muir Woods gift shop, but they were closed by the time we finished our walk through the redwoods. I had hoped this would be okay--at half the price, I hadn't expected the same quality--but this was pretty lame.

These are a great size for my young nature journalists. I actually wish the space for drawing was larger, like the whole page instead of a smaller square on the page. And my kids are a bit thrown by all the questions and instruction. Perhaps because they have seen their older siblings with blank journals for so long. I probably won't buy them again, but we are using them and they are working fine.

Mostly just lined pages. Not much information or direction.

Granddaughter just loves the outdoors

This is a great little journal for children to gain hands-on experience in observing nature. Perfect size and "look" for elementary age children. Not overwhelming. Great ideas and try it sections to guide them in their observations. Lots of space for drawings and photos. The spiral binding adds a "real scientist" quality.
