My daughter is almost 7 and wanted a thinner crayon but I still wanted to provide her with a high quality crayon, these crayons fit the bill. These crayons are great, the color is vibrant and smooth. I was expecting more of a beeswax smell however these smell more like birthday candles in my opinion, so for me I would not describe the smell of these crayons as pleasant but they aren't off putting either. Because of the thin design on these crayons they do break somewhat easily, the first time using them my daughter broke 2, however she has been use to using thicker crayons and colored pencils so I'm hoping she will get use to using the thinner crayons and breaking will become less of an issue, plus these are affordable enough I plan to buy an extra box as replacements for any that get broken. We got the box of 48 and I absolutely love the variety of colors included. All in all I highly recommend these crayons.

I was ver surprised to see how small the crayons were as well as the box. Definitely not worth $15.99!!!
