These loppers are very sharp out of the box but do require sharpening fairly frequently for the best results.I’d recommend picking up a sharpening tool in addition to this if you do not already have one - keeps you on track when you have lots of branches to get through.

This lopper did the job I needed it for. It was a very overgrown buddleia as tall as the first floor. I'm not very strong and have poor grip, so quite impressed. Not sure how long it will last, but a lot cheaper than paying someone!

works great despite being compact.. the cutting action takes a little to get used to.. unlike a pair of scissors the jaws dont open equally, the upper curved jaw moves while the lower straight edge stays still.. cuts though 1"/25mm limbs no problem though
