The Light We Carry: Overcoming in Uncertain Times

Great gift, although I kept it for myself. Lol!!I purchased another one from the store and gave that one as a gift. I did that because once I receive this book from Amazon, it was in such great condition and looked perfect sitting on my coffee table, I could not give it away.

The book clocks in at 300 pages, so it’s easy to read, enjoy, and learn from Michelle’s stories.

I love the way Mrs. Obama went deep into thought to write this book! A must read for everyone mature enough to comprehend what she is saying. Can't wait for number three!!!

This book resonates..Should resonate with anyone willing to admit they are human. A huge Thank You for allowing us to be strong and yet compassionate..and, if to a fault... so be it...

Uplifting well articulated thoughts. Thoughts that we're seen in action. Thoughts behaved and not just spoken. A great read; great thoughts.

I loved all the stories she shared of experiences in the white house, her childhood and stories of other people. It was an inspirational book too trying to encourage to shine light. I loved it

I liked the book, although, I do think Becoming was a better book. There are definitely some engaging moments in this book and that makes it a good read.

This book gives perspective. In times like now when the world seems to be in chaos and conflict, we need to be able to look above it all and decide how to do the work to rectify the situations we find ourselves in.We need not only to be angry about the route we see the world taking, we need to do the work to ensure that the path is corrected and that kindness, equality, acceptance and collaboration guide us. This is more than a like on social media, this means getting up and off the couch to be involved in the process towards a fairer world.The Light We Carry can be used as a guide in how to channel our efforts in making all of our lives better. Heads high, hearts open.
