UPDATE: After educating myself via good ol’ YouTube I’ve completely changed my opinion on this builder gel.For those complaining that it doesn’t cure or cures tacky…you MUST wipe it with an alcohol soaked lint free wipe after curing to remove the tacky layer before filing. That said, do NOT wipe if you plan on doing another coat as the tacky layer serves to bond the two layers together.I won’t go into further instruction other than to recommend you check out a few tutorial videos…it makes a world of difference.Now that I’ve got my technique down I’m glad that I didn’t go with the bottled version.At first I used this to extend the length. I’m digging the girlie-girl nails & have found that they hold up well even with the beating I give them at work. Since using this builder gel I’ve been able to reinforce & protect my crazy-soft nails enough to actually grow them out! I now use it to build a strong apex & to extend only a teeny bit longer than my natural nail just to protect the tips. I will definitely be buying more.Original review:This formula is super sticky & kinda tricky to work with. Granted, I’m definitely a novice so my technique could use improvement but this potted builder gel left me wishing I’d gone with a bottled version.

The gel doesn’t cure quick enough. I don’t think it’s my lamp, as my lamp cures everything else in the recommended time frame. I had to cure this for 3 to 4 minutes. In that time, it ran to the edges of the nails and I had an extremely hard time building the apex as it would just run while it was curing.

Did not cure - even after 20 minutes was still sticky - gooey. I'm not sure if I did something wrong. I followed the directions exactly. No good - didn't work for me. Several attempts later nothing worked. VERY disappointed. I've opened it so I'm not sure I can return. Too bad - another lesson learned.

I cured for a total of 6 mins and it was still sticky and gluey, honey texture but still too runny to really stay on the nail making shaping really difficult
