Highly Recommend
This mat is the only one large enough to encompass the litter box and have room for the cat to exit on any side. It has large holes to allow litter to get through. We have a cat with special needs due to an injury to his back paws in a house fire. As you can imagine, getting in and out of the litter box has posed a great deal of difficulty and ends in a lot of scattered litter. This mat has significantly decreased the amount of litter that gets onto the floor. Additionally, it's plenty soft enough for him to walk on. Whereas, other mats I've tried are too hard, and he would avoid them.

Impossible to empty the litter without making a mess!
I have a disabled cat who can’t walk very well without falling a lot. Because if this she gets a LOT of unused litter tracked outside the litter box. I bought this mat because A. It is huge! And B. With the dual layers it would be easy to pour that unused litter back into the box and stop wasting so much litter and have much less mess.The mat is a fantastic size! Big enough for 2 boxes to sit on. The litter does indeed fall down the holes in the foamy part and doesn’t make a mess on the floor.HOWEVER, with the opening being in the center of the mat and not on one of the ends it is impossible to empty the litter back into the box. Litter just comes out of all the holes and goes all over the floor. That’s what I was trying to avoid by purchasing this mat.Bottom line: This mat would be perfect if you are carrying it outside and just shaking it out. But if you are looking to conserve unused litter this mat is not for you.

I highly recommend this product! I absolutely love it!
This mat has worked amazingly well for my two cats! After reading the other reviews I was proactive and soaked the mat in water, hung it to dry, and placed weights on it afterwards to help flatten it out- which worked great! I was doubtful about how easy it would be to dump the litter out of it, but tried cleaning it last night (for the first time after using it for over a month!) and it was super easy. There is barely any litter on the floor surrounding the two litter boxes that I placed this in front of, and my cats actually seem to enjoy leisurely wiping their paws on it as they walk away. I highly recommend this product!!

Works great, easy to empty. Took a few days out in the garage for the "new" smell to disappate but after that no problems

It's fine.
I prefer the Black Hole Litter Mat. This is ok, but the flexible backing makes emptying the mat of litter difficult. I love the larger size.
